Miniso False Eyelash

Hello loves!

Love using falsies? I don't usually wear them, but there are some occasions that I'd like my eyes to be prettier and more expressive.

Since I don't use them often, I only buy the cheaper ones. Haha! Here's one that I bought a few months back. I think this particular one gives the exact effect that I want my eyes to have when I wear falsies.

It's a set of false lashes from Miniso!

I'm glad that Miniso is here in the country. I could get so many items for affordable prices. This set is only PhP 99.00!

And the set consists of 10 pairs! Awesome, right???

Miniso carries different shapes of false eyelashes. Most are shorter than my natural lashes though. BUT this particular one is what I like. It gets longer at the outer corners.

See? It's perfect when I do my cat eyes. I like wearing winged eyeliner.

I didn't put other products except for the falsies. It already looks great on its own, but imagine how much better it would look when I curl the lashes and coat some mascara. It would look even better with a winged eyeliner!

So if ever you're in a Miniso branch, do look this false lashes up. Also get a good lash glue so you can enjoy this good and affordable buy!

Hey all!

Whenever we can, my sister (who is currently living in Sidney) and I give each other makeup that is not available in the area we are in. So when I was in Japan, I bought her some eye makeup and she, on the other hand, give me items that she bought from AU. She's able to give me more (thanks!) because most products that can be bought in the Philippines are things that she's already familiar with.

Anyway, here's one from a brand that I guess I'm not completely familiar with. I've only used one of its products so far...

The products from this brand are out of my budget to be honest and that is why I only get to try them when my sis gives me some. :P

I think this particular one belonged to one of the sets she bought some months back. There's another shade that came along with it that I'll post sometime soon. 

If ever I'm correct that this is from a set and that this packaging (in a tube that's pretty much like a lip gloss) is just for that limited edition set, then it's safe to say that those that are in the tub versions are the regular-sized products. Correct me if I'm wrong though. :P

This is the applicator. It's a doe-foot applicator that makes the product easy to apply.

I find the pinkness to be too pale on me. It's the kind of soft pink that's just too light for my warm skin tone. I would use this on top of another lipstick so that I don't look too pale.

What I love about this is how great it is as a lip balm. It helps hydrate the lips when they are dry. What the product description says is no joke because I've used this on my lips when they were getting flaky and after a couple of hours, my lips feel a lot smoother. And it smells great too!

Makeup Experiment #18 : Snow White / Evil Queen

Hello lovelies!

After a long while, I'm back with a new makeup experiment! Weeeeeee!

Actually, this isn't really new. We actually made this look and photoshoot almost two years ago... when Liz's hair wasn't purple. Haha! These have been sitting in my laptop for so long along with my other Disney-themed experiments. I actually posted one experiment with a Disney character, Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, back in November, But technically, it's not part of this series because I only did one look there.

What do I mean, you say? Well, I have this project that I've started two years ago—to make looks based on Disney movies, specifically one of the protagonist and one of the antagonist. As a big Disney kid, this got me so excited and asked some friends to be my models!

So now, let me unveil to you one of these experiments. Let's start with the princess that started it all—Snow White! Of course, let's not forget the... uhhh... second fairest of them all (!?)—the Evil Queen!

I had my Peachy Pink Sisters partner, Liz, as my model! Yay!

I didn't go all crazy in this experiment. The looks are actually very wearable!

For Snow White, I just made sure I made her skin really fair. I think we skipped like 10 shades lighter than her true skin tone! I made her eyes round and the colors very minimal. I was supposed to give her a very red lippie (you know, as red as blood), but I reserved it for the Queen. 

Liz has this black corset-like blouse that I paired with a flower crown to complete the look. 

It's also good that her hair during this time was short. I think it gives that extra "innocence" in the character.

And below is my bad attempt in photoshop to make her look like she's sleeping on a flower bed. LOL

And now, for the evil queen...

Look at another photoshop attempt to add an apple on her hand. Hahaha!

Careful, it's poisonous! Haha... nah, it's fake. :P

A sharp, smokey eye paired with red lips!

I wish we had a crown though. It could have made the look complete.

It was actually hard to get the right poses. We took more than a hundred shots combined to produce these photos. But I think Liz did a good job. She's really pretty despite the fact that she rarely gets a full night of sleep during that time.

It's summer and the beach bronze glow is back in style. I'm not much of a fan though, so I just try to keep my makeup clean and simple to still look fresh (and no one wants to wear heavy makeup in this heat!). One of the products that help me look as such is...

I bought this at Beauty Bar on sale for PhP 300.00 from its original price of PhP 925.00.

This is my first product from this brand. This is why I wanted to purchase it along with the good deal.

Soft Blend Blush is a silky-smooth highly pigmented blush that glides on smoothly to add long-wearing natural looking color and contour.

APPLICATION TIP

Using the Pro Powder Brush, apply blush color to the apple of the cheeks and blend toward the hairline.

The brand carries eight shades (as shown on the website) and the one I have, petal, is the lightest shade of pink available.

As for the packaging, I really like that it's in a light, clear, plastic compact. It's easy to carry, clean and classy to look at, and you can see the shade without having to open it up.

I just love how soft it looks. The shade reminds me of pink marshmallows!

It's so soft and pretty! I just love the finish. 

The product is just a tiny bit powdery, but it's so silky smooth!

Since the shade is light, I need to reapply again, usually around 4-5 hours, just to touch up. I do have oily skin so makeup tends to not stay on longer than other skin types.

So I guess that's all I can say for this product. :)
