Luxe Gel Eyeliner in Tear Pink and Rose Burgundy

Hey everyone!

Sharing a short swatch post of two of my latest gel eyeliners!

Luxe Gel Eyeliner in Tear Pink and Rose Burgundy

I bought them because they were on sale at Althea for PhP 150.00 only from it's original price of PhP 400.00. I thought that it was a good deal and the shades I picked are colors that I will surely use often.

The packaging of the liners is pretty common, but I really appreciate this kind of design because it looks classy and professional. I also like that there's a part at the bottom end of the pencil that has the color of the shade so it's easy to find among my stash.

You can visit Althea's page for more info about the product (it has hi-res pictures of all 10 shades available). But to summarize up the claims, this eyeliner is very pigmented, waterproof, doesn't break easily, and long-lasting. And it has an airtight packaging!

This is Tear Pink. On the website it's called True Pink but in the packaging it's Tear Pink.

Here are the info on the packaging.

I always make sure that I have a light, shimmery pink eyeliner in my stash because I like wearing it on my inner corners of my eye lids. They brighten your eyes instantly!

This is Rose Burgundy.
I chose this because I don't have a color like this and i just find it really beautiful.

Product info:

I think it goes well with my current hair color! :D

Here are the swatches:

Tear Pink and Rose Burgundy

I got these swatches in one swipe of the eyeliners.
Now to check how long-lasting it is...

Here's how it is when I tried to smudge it...

When faced under running water

When smudged while wet

Rubbed rigorously while wet

It's pretty impressive and I think all the claims indicated are true.
And below you'll see how I usually wear them together:

Tear Pink on the inner corners and Rose Burgundy on the outer part of the lower lash line.

I think both eyeliners are amazing and for PhP 150.00, they're a steal! What do you think?

Etude House Play 101 Pencil in Nos. 4 and 33

Hi lovelies!

I love it when affordable makeup brands go on sale because you know you can shop without regrets! That's what happened when I bought these two products from Etude House!

Etude House Play 101 Pencils
These are Php 348.00 each but I was able to buy them for 20% discount.

The shades are nos. 4 and 33.

I bought No. 4 because I think this would great as an under-eye glitter liner! I'm sure it can brighten up any eye makeup.

The shade is sparkly and nude so I bet it would suit many makeup looks.

No. 33 is a pale nude-pink shade that I'm very attracted to for some reason.

I fell in-love with the matteness of this one.

Below are the swatches.

I got those swatches in just one swipe and they glided smoothly on skin. It's very pigmented and you'll only need a few seconds for it to set on the skin. After that, it can stay the whole day, especially if you're using a good primer.

Check out No. 4 on my under-eye lashes.

And on the top of my upper lash line, I applied No. 33.

And what's interesting is that I can also use this as a lip liner and even as a lip color!

It does make your lips chap though... but staying power is pretty impressive!

So what do you think? The shades I got are beautiful and I wanna get more! And you know what's crazy? It's available in 50 different shades!!! WOAH! Awesome!

Have you tried the Play 101 pencils yet? What shades did you get?

Shara Shara Cat's Gel Liner in No. 5 Persian Pearl Navy

Hello everyone!!!

I'm FINALLY back!

I was MIA for the past few days because didn't have internet access since Wednesday and it bored the hell out of me. UGH! PLDT, your customer service sucks! Their call center representatives were nice when you talk to them but progress was just soooooooooo damn slow! I called to report the problem last Wednesday, and the two days after that, I called twice a day to follow up—one in the morning and the other in the evening. And even with that much effort, they only assigned a technician team on Saturday and he arrived this morning (a Sunday) to do a 2-minute fixing! How I wish they just instructed us to do those simple steps so we didn't have to wait so long. I wasn't able to leave the house from Thursday-Saturday because I had to wait for their call for feedback or in case a technician arrives (I didn't get any feedback until I called earlier this morning... I HAVE TO CALL when in fact, they told me that they should be the one calling me). PLDT wasted my long weekend and they wouldn't even give us a rebate for the days we didn't have internet access (That's like Php 500.00 gone!). They charge so much for such crappy services even though they are the leading telecommunications provider in the country.

Anyway, enough about the ranting. I'm just very pissed. :P
To make the mood a bit lighter, I'll share another super good product that my friend, who went on a week vacation in Korea, bought me!

Shara Shara Cat's Gel Liner in No. 5 Persian Pearl Navy

As I've mentioned before in my The Saem eyeliners post, I asked her to buy me products from brands that aren't in the Philippines yet and she got me something from Shara Shara!

And I also asked her if she can find eyeliners that aren't the basic black or brown so she got me blue one!

This shade is still very wearable because it's color is a very dark blue. It actually looks black from a distance but when you get closer, you'll see the blue shine when light hits it. You'll see it better on the swatches provided later on this post.

This is a gel liner equipped with an applicator. I like that the brush is part of the product so I wouldn't worry losing it.

The bristles are smooth and they don't "fly away" from each other. Using this makes the application super easy!

Here's a closeup of the gel liner.

It looks black but when you tilt it to the light, you'll see the blue shimmers.

Below is the swatch so you can see it better.

This product also has impressive staying power. Check out the photos below to see how long it stayed after I tried removing it.

Smudged once. Nothing happened.

Wiped the swatch very hard several times. There's slight smudging but barely noticeable.

Smudged with water. Nothing much happened there but the blue was more visible, I guess?

Smudged hard with water then wiped with a towel... now that's the time the product started coming off.

Impressive right? I'm so happy that my friend got me this. And I think this was only somewhere around Php 200-300? This product stays on me all day without smudging even if I have really oily skin! Yay!

And below is how I usually wear this...

And that's all for this post! Let me know what you think of the Shara Shara Cat's Gel Liner in No. 5 Persian Pearl Navy! :D

The Saem Eco Soul Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Coral Pink and Dreaming Purple

Hey loves!

I'm so sorry for being MIA for the past few days... I was busy catching up with friends before work and school start again. And also, I'm just feeling lazy. Haha!

So for my first post this 2015, I'll share my thoughts on these two eyeliners that really impressed me so much! The staying power is just amazing!

The Saem Eco Soul Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Coral Pink and Dreaming Purple

This is my first product from The Saem.

I don't think that this brand is available yet in the Philippines. My friend who visited South Korea last November bought this for me along with other makeup products that I will blog about soon. This brand is a bit familiar to me because one of the endorsers is G-Dragon, a member of the KPop group, BigBang, which I listen to.

Anyway, let's see what the product description says about the eyeliners...

Oooh! Waterproof! A word that when used to describe makeup becomes music to my ears.

Anyway, check out the other info on the labels on the packaging. See the photos below:

My friend didn't know what products to buy actually. I just told her that I wanted makeup and maybe something that is not yet available in the country. Para mas sulit!

I did mention that I would love to try more eyeliners and that's why she bought these.

I love the shades she bought. I do have purple liners but not in this particular shade and the hot pink color, on the other hand, is something I don't have yet.

Photos below are individual shots of the eyeliners...

The Saem Eco Soul Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Coral Pink

The shade is really pretty and intense! I think this isn't something I would pick for myself but I'm glad that my friend got this for me because this is really pretty!

The Saem Eco Soul Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Dreaming Purple

It's a very frosty purple that I think would look great in many of the makeup looks I make.

So here are the swatches:

They both glided smoothly on skin and the pigmentation is really intense in just one stroke.

Here's how it looks when I try to smudge it lightly

Impressive, right?

I tried to rub it with my fingers many times.

Then got a tissue and rubbed it rigorously.

AWESOME! Staying power really is awesome!!!!!

So I tried rubbing it with water and still, nothing happened.

And so I wiped it hard with cloth while it's wet and this is what happened.

The color is still there. The intensity of the color died down a little but it still looks great! See why I mentioned how impressive this is in the beginning of the post?

I usually wear the eyeliners under my eyes like on the pic above.

I really love the eyeliners. They are long-lasting, pigmented, and I believe that they are quite affordable (maybe around Php 200-300) too.

I wish The Saem would open in the Philippines because I want to buy more shades! :D

So what do you think of these eyeliners? Are you impressed as well?
