NARS Orgasm, Laguna, Angelika, Deep Throat, and Wicked

Another swatch post here!

NARS blushes have been a favorite of hours. they are very pigmented, the colors are gorgeous, and the texture is very fine.

We prefer using powder blushes rather than cream ones (we used to have a cream blush -- Enchanted) since we have oily skin.

So in this post, I will feature the current powder blushes we have from NARS.

This is my sister, Trace's favorite among all her blushes. If I love collecting eye shadow palettes, she collects blushes.

One of our favorite peach blushes.

The crowd favorite. My favorite blush as well. Just look how fine the glitters are!

NARS Laguna

One of my fave bronzers because it's warm and no brick tone. Perfect for the summer!

I will also include here this eyeshadow duo that my sis gave me before. It's quite old (as you can see with the packaging -- seriously, the NARS packaging is annoying).

Also pigmented but I don't use it much. Not an everyday makeup color and the  greenness of it is too bright for my taste. :P


I hope the swatches is helpful especially to those who are hunting for good blushes. We super love NARS blushes. We used to have Super Orgasm and Torrid too but my sis swapped it with other makeup. :P

Anyway, that's it for me today. Have to finish my final plates for the semester. It's our last week and I'm so excited to finally rest and enjoy the much awaited vacation!

NOTD: Fruit Ninja!

 Hey girls!

2 days ago, my friend, Abby, bought some nail accessories she bought from 168.

They were SUPER CUUUUTTTEE! 

The accessories were small fruits all looking bright and fresh!

Unfortunately for me, my nails still have nail polish on... so I looked for someone to try out these cute fruits on!

My victim and the owner of the gorgeous hands on the pictures is Vireza! :P

 Some of you might be familiar with her pretty face because she has been my model in some of my makeovers from before. And an upcoming post featuring her as my model soon! She will be a geisha - inspired from my thesis! :)

Anyway, back on the nails... we didn't have the glue for the accessories so we applied them while the polish weren't dry yet. It worked but we had to coat it several times so they wouldn't fall off.

  Here are close-up shots! My favorite were the dragonfruits and strawberries! :P

If you're curious about the title, besides the accessories being fruits, Vireza is actually our "Fruit Ninja Master." She got us hooked with fruit ninja that there was a time that I stayed up all night trying to beat her score. I never did. Haha! She's so good at the game both on her iPhone and Facebook!

Of Full Bangs, Thesis, and My First Time Winning a Giveaway!

 Hey guys!

Just sharing some awesome things that have happened to me recently. :)

I'm sporting full bangs now!

It's been a while... and I mean a LOOOOONG while since I last had full bangs. The last time I had full bangs was when I was in 3rd grade! 

I've thought it wouldn't look good on me since I think my forehead is too short, but guess what?

I think it looks cute on me!

Just look at this pictures I took earlier with my friends, Anna and Vireza, in our Mac room in school. We didn't have a class... we just needed to pass some requirements so it's OK to do some camwhoring! :P

 Liz sometimes choose to not look at me since I look like those porcelain dolls with the full bangs and permed hair (She finds porcelain dolls scary) . Haha! I plan on doing a creative shoot as a doll soon. LOL

And as I was leaving our school building, I saw this post at the Dean's office.

It's the list of the people with outstanding thesis works!

 And my name is in it!!!!!!!!!! 

YAAAAY!

Those sleepless nights were not in vain! ♥

 And lastly,

So that's it for all the good things that came during the past few days.

This week is our finals week (more exams and deadlines) but after a few more days, I will be marching to get my diploma!

The Color Workshop Eye Shadow Palette

Good day ladies,

My barkada in school, Algene, was kind enough to let us borrow some one of the new make-up palettes which her relatives gift her. She's not yet a fan of putting them on by herself and would rather that we do that for her. :) So I'd just like to thank her for letting us use this. 

So I have not really used this palette yet, since I had my wisdom tooth extracted 2 weeks ago and could not go anywhere because of my swollen face.

 

 It's a pretty little thing. Looks a lot like an Ipod Touch and is really easy to take with you when traveling. 

 Here's the swatch for this palette.

A little comment though, Dawn said the pigments aren't satisfactory and that there are other products which are more pigmented and easier to find. 

I, on the other hand, have mixed feeling on the colors in the palette. I think some of the metallic colors are good enough. They're not heavily pigmented but they're good enough for a light day make-up look. I guess... Although the neutrals and nudes are a big disappointment as they don't color... AT ALL.

We were doing swatches and we had to scrape the color off just to get it onto my arm. Well as you can see, it did not help.

But it really looks neat though.

So that's it for now, I'll make a follow up post for this. Hopefully a FOTD using this product sometime this weekend, cause I just got my stitches off today (yay!) and the swelling had already disappeared so I can finally get some make-up done.

Plus it's hell week - a.k.a completion week - and I need war paint. I wonder what would be a nice look... As my classmate says, go to school pretty, at least, if you fail, you fail looking fabulous.

So until then...
