Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Crush Beguin

Hey loves!

I just found a new go-to lipstick! And I wasn't even planning on getting a new lippie at all!

Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Crush Beguin

Got this at 50% off. The original price was PhP 575.00.

I was at the department store one day and saw that Revlon was on sale. I saw that the prices were hugely discounted and I just thought, "why not take advantage of this?" It has been a while since I have used a product from the brand anyway.

I've tried their balm stains before and I think they are pretty good. Since they were at 50% off, I decided to get one, and the shade that was most interesting to me was Crush Beguin.

I'm into darker shades lately, but this one is not too dark. It's pretty wearable actually. I just think that I want a break from the bright reds and pinks I usually wear, as well as nudes. I'm all for berry shades, plums, and deep fuchsias now.

This one is a violet red shade.

A swatch on my hand

On my lips, it looks so good because it compliments the warm shade of my skin really well. It has this slight glossy finish that make my lips look so healthy and moisturized. I failed to take a pic of the stain it leaves on but it is pretty close to the color when I just apply it. Just imagine it without the glossy effect. ;P

I'm currently using this the most often among my lippie collection. It gives a bold color to my lips and it is soooo long-lasting because it's a stain, but still keeps my lips moisturized I usually complain that some stains dry my lips, but not this one!

I would love to try out more shades from this line, and maybe the matte balms if they're good too. Any recommendations? :)

Cheers,
DAWN

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Rose

Hello everyone!

Going for a "no-makeup" look, but still want that red, luscious yet natural looking lips? Say no more, I found the product you are looking for!

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Rose
You can get this at Beauty Bar for Php 650.00.

I am a fan of Burt's Bees lip balms because they keep my lips moisturized, but wouldn't it be better if it also adds more color to your lips while keeping them soft and smooth? Check out their tinted lip balms!

It's beautifully packaged for a lip balm tube. Important details are in the labels and they highlight that this product is 100% natural. That is one of the reasons why I like Burt's Bees. I find that what is natural is mostly mild and safe (unless you are allergic to something).

Info from the website:

For just a hint of color and a whole lot of conditioning. The Botanical Waxes in these softly tinted balms will take your lips to lovely in one pretty swipe. They come in a range of 11 naturally flattering shades, 2 of which are new! Forest Flower and Zinnia.

• Adds a hint of natural color
• Nourishes with Shea Butter and Botanical Waxes
• Available in 11 sheer, wearable every day shades

Anyway, the shade I have is Rose. It's a bright, sheer red shade that will make your lips look healthier!

It smells of roses and when you apply this, there's no waxy feeling!

Here's a closeup of the product:

Review : Natio Tinted Lip Balm in Smile

Hello lovelies!

Lately, I've been experiencing dry lips more often. I use balms every morning and before going to sleep but it's so annoying that my lips are still chappy nowadays. Anyway, my sister sent me a new tube of lip balm from a brand that I haven't tried before...

Natio Tinted Lip Balm in Smile

This is a tinted balm. I like it because it already has color and will make your lips look refreshed and pretty. The shade is also beautiful and really suits my warm skin tone. This can, however, affect the color of your lips if you like using lipsticks, especially sheer ones. That's why I usually use this with more pigmented lippies, mostly those who are near this color, or just use this alone.

Anway, below are the pictures of the lip balm with the labels...

Let's get to know the product with product description from the website:

Conditioning and deeply moisturising lip balms with a hint of sheer, natural colour.

Benefits:
Rich in nourishing natural emollients, the creamy Shea Butter formula conditions and protects lips. Lightly tinted and packed with Vitamin A and E to coat lips in cute, caring colour. Available in six sheer happy-go-lucky shades.

Plant Extracts:
Shea Butter and Jojoba hydrate, antioxidant Vitamin E soften and smooth and Aloe Vera soothes.

How to:
Smooth onto lips, following the contours of your mouth. To build the colour, glide over lips a few times.

Ingredients:
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Ozokerite, Mineral Oil, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Microcrystalline Wax, Isopropyl Palmitate, Synthetic Wax, Silica, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Fragrance. May contain (+/-): Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 7 Lake, Iron Oxides (CI 77489, 77491, 77492, 77499), Red 6 Lake (CI 15850), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140).

This is available in 6 shades.

It's $4.95 on the website.

The product is housed in a plastic tube. It's translucent so you can easily see how much product is left and also the shade you'll be getting. The product though is very creamy that there's little amount of the product that sort of melted that stays somewhere on the tip of the tube and you can see it because of the see-through quality.

The shade Smile is sort of a mix of raspberry and mauve. The cool tone looks great with my skin. It's sheer so it will not usually overpower lipsticks if you wear one over it.

The product is buttery smooth and glides easily on the lips. No waxy nor sticky texture. It smells really good too.

It moisturizes my lips and can help lessen the chappiness after some minutes of wearing it but it doesn't heal it as much as I would have wanted. It's not the most effective I've tried but it's still good. My lips look hydrated when I wear this although I need to reapply often because this doesn't really stay long on my lips.

So to sum my review up...

What I LIKE:
- The shade Smile is beautiful
- Smooth, buttery texture
- Mild, sweet scent
- Helps hydrate the lips
- Has Vitamin A and E
- Packaging
- Available in 6 shades

What I DON'T LIKE:
- I don't think this is available in the Philippines yet (correct me if I am wrong please)

Would I buy one again? No, I would not. Although the color is nice and the texture is good, the hydration for me isn't enough. It does give moisture but I have tried other lip balms that work better. :)

Have you tried this balm yet? Have you tried other products from Natio?
