Show Off Your Most Beautiful Smile with Céleteque’s NEW Matte Lipsticks in Nude, Ruby, and Wine

Hello loves!

Celeteque just added more shades to their lipstick line and I bet you guys will absolutely love wearing them, especially this coming holiday season!

A few days ago, I received this gift in the mail...

I wasn't expecting anything really. So it was such a pleasant surprise to receive all three new shades and a beautiful framed quote:

"The most beautiful curve on a woman's body is her smile" -Bob Marley

I definitely agree. When you smile, your face lights up and it becomes a sign of positivity or happiness that is understood by most if not everyone. Partner that smile with these new shades for a more stunning look.

Check out the press release below for more info.

Healthy Smile and Lips With Céleteque’s NEW Matte Lipstick Shades

They dress to the nines, teeter on their heels, and make sure faces are done to perfection. To complete and update their look, they’ve got fresh additions to their arsenal: Céleteque’s NEW Matte Lipsticks (P595).

The latest Céleteque Matte Lipsticks come in three covetable shades: Nude, a brown-tone neutral that can match any skin tone; Ruby, a statement-making party-ready crimson; and Wine, a deep mauve that for that grounded regal look. These three NEW Céleteque Matte Lipsticks make for perfect kit companions for the season’s festivities. Add these new colors to your lippie collections and be ready for an exciting fourth quarter.

A Healthy Swipe
Like all of Céleteque’s Dermo offerings, Céleteque DermoCosmetics Matte Lipsticks are co-created with dermatologists, ensuring that each lipstick is infused with dermo-grade ingredients that keep sensitive lip skin healthy.

Céleteque Matte Lipsticks give your lips the alluring touch of a long-wearing formula that lends lips a vivid matte color finish. It glides on easily and leaves the lips with no waxy feel. Happily healthy lips raring to pucker up and raring to flash that gorgeous smile.

Season Smacker
With healthy lips in season-worthy shades, women finally have that fresh swipe of confidence they need to look their best. They feel better and look better, too, especially when an alluring smile easily plays on their lips. In this case, Bob Marley definitely got it down pat, there is definitely nothing more beautiful than the curve of a woman’s smile— and thanks to Céleteque, that curve got even lovelier.

Above are photos of the labels on the box that show the ingredients list, directions of use, precautionary measures, and more product descriptions.

I'm a fan of bold, matte lipsticks so having to swatch these three was a delight for me. Not only are they bold and matte, but these are the colors that I absolutely LOVE wearing!

I've provided swatches below. Check them out!

(From left to Right)
Nude, Ruby, and Wine

I also have photos of my lips with the lipsticks! Check them out!

First is Nude.

I think it's a must to have at least one nude lipstick in your stash. It's something that you can wear for a simple, natural look, and it goes very well with a striking smokey eye makeup!

on my lips

Next is Ruby.

I like how they named this Ruby and the shade is exactly like Ruby... well, maybe with a hint of scarlet. But it's very stunning.

It's very Christmas-y/festive because of it's bright yet very bold color. You would certainly stand-out when you have this on.

on my lips

Last, but not the least, Wine.

It's as dark as red wine. It looks as sophisticated as the drink as well!

I think it's a great pick if you're going on a fancy dinner date. I like that it's darker than Ruby with a cooler tone. Even if both are shades of red, they give a different vibe!

on my lips

I've used all three and I would agree that they are all pigmented! For matte lipsticks, I don't think that they are as drying as, if I have to compare, the ones from MAC's. In fact, I don't think it made my lips chappy during the couple of days that I wore the lipsticks. But it can make your dry lips obvious (mine's quite dry when I did the swatches, which you can see on the photos, unfortunately). Make sure you moisturize your lips well before using.

I'm loving the part that it's quite afforable. Good quality matte lipsticks are getting more expensive nowadays because of the popularity so it's great to know that Celeteque provided us with these. If you're on a tight budget, I must admit that it's not particularly cheap at PhP 595.00, but for the quality, I think it's a pretty good deal! You don't get any of the waxy feeling, no chemical scent, and no awful taste! You just get beautiful colors that are long-lasting!

I'm loving all three shades and I think I'll be using them a lot for the next few months. I can't pick which one is my favorite. Which do you think suits me the best?

Cheers,
DAWN

Review : Natio Tinted Lip Balm in Smile

Hello lovelies!

Lately, I've been experiencing dry lips more often. I use balms every morning and before going to sleep but it's so annoying that my lips are still chappy nowadays. Anyway, my sister sent me a new tube of lip balm from a brand that I haven't tried before...

Natio Tinted Lip Balm in Smile

This is a tinted balm. I like it because it already has color and will make your lips look refreshed and pretty. The shade is also beautiful and really suits my warm skin tone. This can, however, affect the color of your lips if you like using lipsticks, especially sheer ones. That's why I usually use this with more pigmented lippies, mostly those who are near this color, or just use this alone.

Anway, below are the pictures of the lip balm with the labels...

Let's get to know the product with product description from the website:

Conditioning and deeply moisturising lip balms with a hint of sheer, natural colour.

Benefits:
Rich in nourishing natural emollients, the creamy Shea Butter formula conditions and protects lips. Lightly tinted and packed with Vitamin A and E to coat lips in cute, caring colour. Available in six sheer happy-go-lucky shades.

Plant Extracts:
Shea Butter and Jojoba hydrate, antioxidant Vitamin E soften and smooth and Aloe Vera soothes.

How to:
Smooth onto lips, following the contours of your mouth. To build the colour, glide over lips a few times.

Ingredients:
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Ozokerite, Mineral Oil, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Microcrystalline Wax, Isopropyl Palmitate, Synthetic Wax, Silica, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Fragrance. May contain (+/-): Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 7 Lake, Iron Oxides (CI 77489, 77491, 77492, 77499), Red 6 Lake (CI 15850), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140).

This is available in 6 shades.

It's $4.95 on the website.

The product is housed in a plastic tube. It's translucent so you can easily see how much product is left and also the shade you'll be getting. The product though is very creamy that there's little amount of the product that sort of melted that stays somewhere on the tip of the tube and you can see it because of the see-through quality.

The shade Smile is sort of a mix of raspberry and mauve. The cool tone looks great with my skin. It's sheer so it will not usually overpower lipsticks if you wear one over it.

The product is buttery smooth and glides easily on the lips. No waxy nor sticky texture. It smells really good too.

It moisturizes my lips and can help lessen the chappiness after some minutes of wearing it but it doesn't heal it as much as I would have wanted. It's not the most effective I've tried but it's still good. My lips look hydrated when I wear this although I need to reapply often because this doesn't really stay long on my lips.

So to sum my review up...

What I LIKE:
- The shade Smile is beautiful
- Smooth, buttery texture
- Mild, sweet scent
- Helps hydrate the lips
- Has Vitamin A and E
- Packaging
- Available in 6 shades

What I DON'T LIKE:
- I don't think this is available in the Philippines yet (correct me if I am wrong please)

Would I buy one again? No, I would not. Although the color is nice and the texture is good, the hydration for me isn't enough. It does give moisture but I have tried other lip balms that work better. :)

Have you tried this balm yet? Have you tried other products from Natio?

Look Flawless with Ellana!

Hello loves!

Ever since I first tried Ellana Mineral Cosmetics, I became an instant fan.

I've actually avoided mineral makeup until I attended one of Ellana's blogger events which gave me the opportunity to take home some of their products. I've already shared the reasons why I was hesitant to use mineral makeup and how Ellana changed it in my previous post, so for today's entry, I'll share with you how I achieve a flawless look using 3 Ellana Mineral Cosmetics products—Let's Make It Last Makeup Primer, Smile Cover It Up Mineral Powder Concealer, and Sheer Velvet Mineral Finishing Powder.

I've already made a review on the Let's Make It Last Makeup Primer so I will be skipping that one for this post. You can read the full review here.

And let's go to the product that saved mineral makeup for me,

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Smile Cover It Up Mineral Powder Concealer
This is their medium shade with warm tones and it's only for Php 460.00.

Why saved? Because it gave me the coverage I wanted that I didn't get from the mineral makeup products I tried from other brands!

Smile is exactly my shade! I'm happy that Ellana's products have warm tones so it blends well with most Filipina skin. Their Mineral Foundation and Concealer products are available in other shades as well:

Radiant—Light with warm tones
Cheer—Light with cool tones
Revive—Medium with cool tones

Before I go on with the product details, let's admire the very fab packaging first. The beautiful illustrations were made by Ms. Soleil Ignacio.

Here are product descriptions from the website:

WHAT IT IS
Complete coverage without the mask-like finish - that is the promise of our new Concealer Foundation. This dual-purpose product can be used to spot-conceal and to cover up under eye circles. It can also be applied, in sheer layers, as a foundation for maximum coverage.

HOW TO USE
As a concealer: Use your fingers or a concealer brush to pick up the product. Blend onto your eye bags and blemishes in quick feathery strokes.

As a foundation: Pick up a small amount with your kabuki or powder brush. Apply only a sheer layer to color correct and/or cover problem areas.

TIPS AND TRICKS
This is a foundation for oily and extremely troubled skin. As a
concealer, it can work with all skin types. It comes in five color correcting
shades to effectively keep imperfections under wraps.

Ingredients:
Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Mica, Methicone, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Kaolin, Magnesium, Stearate, Allantoin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Yellow CI 77492, Red CI 77491, Black CI 77499, Green CI 77288, Blue 77007

Swatches on my hand

This product has heavy coverage, great for those who suffer from acne and dark spots. If you have clearer skin, I suggest you stick to their mineral foundations which also has good coverage and carries more shades.

The product is fine and soft and it feels very light on skin. Application is very easy. I use a flat top synthetic makeup brush or a flat kabuki brush for application.

The next product is the finishing powder:
Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Sheer Velvet Mineral Finishing Powder
This is also worth Php 460.00.

Details about the product from the website:

WHAT IT IS
Look poreless, matte, and ultra-smooth up close with our best-selling Sheer
Velvet HD Powder. This translucent powder can set your makeup and help ward
off oil during the day! The pure white shade matches all skin tones.

HOW TO USE
After your foundation, use only a small amount of Sheer Velvet
on the center of your face. Simply retouch as needed!

TIPS AND TRICKS
This powder is recommended for oily and troubled skin. It can
also diminish the appearance of pores. It’s great to use with all
skin tones due to the colorless coverage.

INGREDIENT LIST

silicon dioxide, nylon-12, mica, Polymethylsilsesquioxane

Who doesn't want poreless skin??? It has been a dream for me especially since I have acne-prone, oily skin. As mentioned in the description, this product is recommended for my skin tone! Yay!

Swatches on my hand
This powder is silky soft! It's also very fine that it gets in and fills those pores and lines thus giving you that smooth and silky finish. It sounds too good to be true but I'm not kidding! I'm impressed! It mattifies the face making it a great product to lessen shine (whether it's from your natural oils or if you use foundations or BB's that give dewy finish).

With the combination of this and the Let's Make It Last Makeup Primer, you would really get that lovely poreless finish! Don't believe me? Then check out the next photos below!
Here are shots of my bare face...

My skin is slowly clearing up (thank goodness... it may not look like it but it was worse before) but I'm still suffering with acne scars, especially on the jaw line. I also have enlarged pores on the cheeks and forehead.

After I cleansed and moisturized my skin, I apply the  Let's Make It Last Makeup Primer first. It's transparent so it doesn't make much difference so I didn't take any shots of my face anymore.

And then I apply the  Smile Cover It Up Mineral Powder Concealer...

I apply a very small amount on areas that are not so problematic like the apples of my cheeks and forehead. I concentrated more on the jaw area where many acne scars need concealing.

See how great it works on hiding those dark scars? Amazing! And I didn't have to use so much product.

And then I top it off with the Sheer Velvet Mineral Finishing Powder...

All smoothened now! Skin looks matte and feels so soft and pores are smaller!

I actually put the Sheer Velvet after the foundation but it can also be used as primer before you put on your mineral foundation to smoothen your canvas aka your face. :P

And then I just add some color on my face...

I LOVE the finish! It looks natural and my skin looks like it's glowing! The products feel so light on my skin that I don't even feel like I'm wearing makeup! Besides these, Ellana Mineral Cosmetics are cruelty-free, paraben-free, and fragrance-free!

As for the staying power, well, it doesn't really control oil so I give around 2-3 hours before my face starts getting shiny. I have to blot and retouch using the Sheer Velvet powder. But even if I get very oily, the makeup doesn't fade. I only reapply foundation (I use the pressed powder form of their mineral foundation in Hazelnut) once for the whole day when I'm at the office. And does my makeup cake? No, it does not. But I'm not completely sure if the concealer/foundation will if it is applied on top of a non-mineral liquid foundation because I only use this with other Ellana products.

Overall, I love these products. I strongly recommend them! Like I said, I am now a fan!
