Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion SPF50+ / PA+++ in Honey Beige W24

Hello dearies!

The first ever BB cushion I've tried is the Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion!
I was able to get another pact but there's something a little bit different—the packaging. It is now white and the main label on the center of the compact has the word "Precious Mineral" instead of the "E."

I've already blogged about my review on the Precious Mineral Any Cushion. But to refresh your memory, check my review and the pic below to see what it used to look like:

Although both compacts look cute, I prefer the white packaging. It looks classier for me!

The Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion is available in three shades—Light Beige, Natural Beige, Honey Beige.

The one that I have right now is the darkest shade, which is Honey Beige.

It's been a while since I used the Precious Mineral Any Cushion (almost two years!) so I'm happy that I was able to receive one and use it again. So for this post, I'll share an update on how I find the cushion pact now, especially during the summer season where the sun is so intense and we sweat a lot. And oh, my oily skin has been going berserk! LOL

Here's the details on the packaging:

This is the info about the product from the press release:

Precious Mineral Any Cushion (Php 1,098.00)
Look fresh up to 8 hours with the Precious Mineral Any Cushion! Its cushion using the air
pump technology that functions to spread a generous layer of a combination of BB
cream, CC cream, and foundation onto the skin with just a light pat. Bring it with you
anywhere for effortless touch ups anytime!

What are the functions of the 6-in-1 almighty cushion?
✦ Sun Protection of SPF50+/PA+++
✦ Foundation-like Coverage
✦ Sebum Control
✦ Whitening
✦ Cooling
✦ Moisturizing

Just like the older design, it comes with a mirror and an applicator, which is pretty much just like the old one—soft and it absorbs an adequate amount of product.

I love that the applicator has its own compartment so it doesn't touch the cushion part when not in use. It's hygienic!

I like this set up in BB cushions because you can bring it and retouch anywhere with ease!

The product has that familiar scent which you'll smell from the Precious Mineral BB Creams. I love that sweet, floral scent so much. You can also feel a slight cooling sensation but it only lasts a few seconds. It's still comforting.

Here's a swatch on my arm. It would look like Honey Beige looks dark on my arm, but I guess my face is just darker because when applied on my face, I look pale. See my before and after pics below:

I'm not satisfied with this finish but I am not surprised at the same time because this happened when I first used the Precious Mineral Any Cushion two years ago. This would still be a problem for those who do not have fair skin. I don't think I'm considered morena yet but the darkest shade is still too light for me. :(

But what I am really happy about is that it still has the same medium coverage (for super dark spots, you would still need concealer) and semi-matte-semi-dewy finish! It looks so natural, especially when I apply the rest of my makeup. Take note that on the pic below, I applied a loose powder that is closer to my skin color so that it would even-out the lightness of the BB Cream.

BOOM! Brows! Sorry, I have yet to use a browcara when I took the photo. LOL

The BB Cushion is pretty much the same as before. Same lightness on skin and SPF50 and PA+++ which is really awesome for this summer season. It still lasts the whole day on my face, unfortunately it still lacks oil control (I should always remember to blot, blot, blot every 3-4 hours). What I notice, though, is that it cakes on some areas of my face, especially when my face starts to oil up. If you have dry areas (such as the areas I have acne which are being treated) the product makes the dry flaky skin visible, so try to fully moisturize the skin when you use this. If you do not suffer from too oily skin or dry skin, then this would probably look great on you (much envy!!!).

I still think that the Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion is one of the brand's best BBs. I also think that this is one of the affordable BB cushions (at Php 1,098.00) out there so it's easy on the wallet. It's also easy to use so it's a great choice for beginners because all you need is the sponge applicator that comes with it, no need for fancy makeup brushes to apply it.

Have you tried the Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion? What do you think of its new look?

Review : Etude House Precious Mineral Perfect Fit BB Cream in Natural Beige

Hello dearies!

Remember when I use to say that I prefer foundations over BB Creams because I prefer more coverage? Well, recently I've tried pretty good BB creams that give satisfying coverage and the one I'll be sharing today is one of my latest discoveries...

Etude House Precious Mineral Perfect Fit BB Cream
Php 848.00

Product Description:

The packaging is in a simple but cute tube with a pump dispenser.

I really like that when it comes to BB Creams, even liquid foundations actually, because this is more hygienic and easier to get the product out. I can also cut the tube when I'm almost finished with it so I can scoop out the remaining BB cream.

This BB Cream comes in three shades and the one I got is the middle shade—Natural Beige.

This is how the product looks like

The scent is really pleasant and mild. You'll barely notice it after the minute you applied it.

Consistency is thin and very easy to spread. The shade is warm but I think this isn't yellow enough for my skin. I've tried a different shade from EH that suits my skin more.

This is how it looks when blended.

As you can see, it gives an almost matte finish. It still leaves a little dewiness to it to make the skin look natural.

Above are my photos before and after application

As you can see, it perfectly covers redness and most of my scars... BUT you can still spot the dark ones so I guess the product description is wrong for claiming that it can perfectly cover imperfections. Haha! But I really like the coverage! I'm actually impressed that a product that feels so light on skin can cover my blemishes so well.

I usually apply this after my skin care and primer. I top it off with powder to prolong the makeup and to lengthen the time before my face becomes shiny. It can last pretty much the whole day but it doesn't really help with oil control so it is a must for me to blot and retouch powder every three to four hours or so.

So here's a summary of my review:

What I LIKE:

- Medium coverage
- Has SPF30 and PA++
- Pleasant scent
- Locally available
- Sort of affordable
- Packaging
- Feels light on skin
- Easy to spread and blend
- Love the semi-matte finish

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Only comes in three shades. Actually, that's already good since most BB creams only has two, even one shade. It's just that I think that those with darker skin tones won't be able to appreciate this because the darkest shade is actually close to my skin color already.
- No oil control. It never claimed that it did but I do appreciate a product that gives that property. :P

Overall, this is a good BB cream and I do recommend you to try this especially if you're looking for a BB that gives good coverage.

Have you tried this product yet? Which Etude House BB cream do you like the most? :)

Review : Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Blooming Fit in Honey Beige W24

Hey loves!

It's BB Cream review time!

A few weeks ago, I was sent this BB Cream from Etude House, PH. I'm not a stranger to this BB because my officemate actually uses the exact same variant of the Precious Mineral line. What she loves about this particular BB, which I totally agree with, is that the shade Honey Beige is very suitable to most Filipina skin. You'll see why on the swatches later on.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Blooming Fit
This costs Php 848.00.

Let's get to know what the product promises from the labels on the packaging:

And here are additional info from the EH global website:

Etude House Precious Mineral Blooming Fit BB Cream provides skin with a clearer and healthier appearance throughout the day. It offers great benefits like UV protection, anti-aging, and whitening. Seaweed extract hydrates the face and effectively controls oil, while also promoting skin strength. This BB cream contains more pearl extract than any other, which creates a beautifully brightened complexion.

Directions: Take an appropriate amount and apply a small dab to your cheeks, forehead, and chin. With the tips of your fingers spread bb cream evenly throughout your face. To avoid bb cream from caking, let sit for 5 minutes before building bb cream up for more coverage, and before apply any loose powders to set it with.

Benefits:
Brightens
Oil Control
Hydrates
Whitens
Anti-Aging
UV Protection

The BB Cream that I have is in Honey Beige. It's also available in two other shades—Light Beige and Natural Beige.

Blooming Fit NO2:
WATER, PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, TITANIUM DIOXIDE (Ci 77891), BUTYLENE GLYCOL DICAPRYLATE/DICAPRATE, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, HYDROGENATED POLY (C6-14 OLEFIN), CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, CETYL PEG/PPG-10/1 DIMETHICONE, GLYCERIN, NIACINAMIDE, ZINC OXIDE (Ci 77947), BORON NITRIDE, POLYGLYCERYL-4 ISOSTEARATE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, POLYBUTENE, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, HEXYL LAURATE, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, BEESWAX, STEARIC ACID, TRIETHOXYCAPRYLYLSILANE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, DISODIUM EDTA, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, ADENOSINE, METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, MOTHER OF PEARL, PHYLLOSTACHIS BAMBUSOIDES JUICE, ALCOHOL, IRON OXIDES (Ci 77492, Ci 77491, Ci 77499), FRAGRANCE

The packaging of this BB Cream looks very simple but very pretty. I love the soft pink color and the feminine fonts and ornaments used for the design. I like that it's in a pump because it is more hygienic—you don't have to expose the cream because you don't have to open it. I also like that it's in a squeezable tube form so that when I'm almost done with the product, I can squeeze out the remaining cream inside the tube easily.

This is how the BB cream looks on my hand.

See what I meant about how it would look great on Filipina skin? The shade suits majority of pinays. It has the right amount of yellow tones to compliment our warm skin tone.

The consistency is a little runny. Just a little. The scent is between sweet and floral... I can't exactly pinpoint what scent it is, but I really like it.

When blended, it feels so light on skin, like you are barely wearing any product. No sticky feeling at all!

My bare face on the left and with the product on the right.

It gives a medium coverage that is quite buildable. It instantly brightened my skin as well as gave it a dewy finish. I'm really impressed with the finish when I first tried it out. I always thought that it would lack on the coverage part but it really did a good job on covering most of my dark spots.  But I still need to apply concealer on the really dark ones.

I like that it contains a decent amount of sun protection, SPF30 and PA++! It also promises to help with moisturizing the face and prevent aging. I can't really tell if this really helped in those department though because I have extremely oily skin so the moisturizing benefits from makeup is hardly noticeable on me. It also promises to control oil which I think this doesn't really deliver. I get oily after 3-4 hours so it is important for me to top it off with powder so that I delay the time it takes for my face to get all shiny.

My face with the rest of my makeup.

My face makeup can last the whole day provided I blot the excess oil off my face from time to time. So yeah, it has really good staying power too!

What I LIKE:

- SPF 30, PA++
- Packaging
- Medium coverage
- Long-wearing
- Scent
- Easy to apply
- Suits my warm-toned skin
- Locally available
- Quite affordable considering it contains 60ml
- Feels light on skin
- Instantly brightens skin
- Available in 3 shades

What I DON'T LIKE:

- It doesn't really give much oil control... or maybe I just have extremely oily skin :P

Would I repurchase?
I'd like to try more BB Creams but if I want to get one that suits my skin really well, then I'd consider this as one of my choices. I strongly recommend you to try it out. If you have lighter skin tone, you can try the other two shades available. :)

And that's the end of my review. I hope it was of any help. :)

Directions, precautions and ingredients list are labeled on the box.

It's 15g and has a shelf life of 12 months.

This is available in 2 shades only.

I actually received 2 of it. I gave the darker shade, Honey Beige, to Liz while the lighter one, Natural Beige, is mine.

Here's the compact:

Loving it so much because it's pretty in pink! It can be a bit bulky for a compact, but hey, I'd rather bring this than bring a bottle of foundation or a big tube of BB Cream. :P

At the bottom of the compact are some product info which are in Korean so... yeah. :P

When you open the compact, there's a mirror and has this very soft sponge applicator:

Like seriously soft!

It holds a decent amount of product and it slides to skin easily and it just feels good because of the softness!

The compact has another lid. When you open it, you'll see this:

The foam that holds the foundation!

The foam is quite soft and when you press it, you'll see how soaked it is with the product.
The consistency of the product is thin... almost watery. It feels so light on skin. It smells soooo good just like most Etude House products!

Here's the swatches of both shades:
Honey Beige and Natural Beige respectively.

Honey beige is darker and has a cooler tone while Natural Beige is lighter and has yellow undertones.

I think I made a mistake giving Liz the Honey Beige... If you see my before and after pictures below, I'm obviously a Honey Beige.

Natural Beige is way too light for me. Honey Beige would probably suit my skin better. I believe Honey Beige is too light on Liz too. I guess this can be considered a problem for this particular product since it only carries 2 shades.

But anyway, the finish is semi-matte. It dries pretty quickly so make sure you apply it fast. The coverage is medium but buildable. Make sure you get your face moisturized though. As you can see on my cheek on the photo above, it exposes the dry areas on my pimple scars.

So to remedy the "too light" problem, I topped it off with a loose powder of my shade. I applied only a thin layer so my skin still has a natural finish.
With a nice contour powder and blush, my face looked all better now.
I didn't use concealer here so you can still see the really dark spots. I'm liking how buildable the coverage is and even if I applied more layers, I experienced minimal caking.

Oil control is just okay. My face got all-oily and shiny in 3-4 hours.

Here's a pic of my face after 10 hours after work:
I only blot my face with an oil film. No retouch at all!

My face is oily but still looking good in my opinion, don't you think so too?
It has sunscreen and high SPF too! Perfect for everyday! It says it has cooling qualities but I can't feel it for some reason... but oh well. :P

So to summarize:

What I LIKE:

- Coverage is medium and buildable
- Smells GOOOOOOD
- Locally Available
- Minimal Caking
- Packaging is pretty
- Comes with a mirror and a soft applicator
- Consistency makes it easy to spread
- Sets quickly once applied
- Semi-matte finish
- Has SPF50 and PA+++
- Feels light on skin

Neutral about:

- The price (Php 998.00)
- Oil control is so-so

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Available in only 2 shades
- Makes dry areas of your face too obvious so I advise you to have well moisturized skin before using this!

Would I buy again?
I most probably will. This is, without question, my favorite among Etude House's foundations and BB Creams.

What are your thoughts on Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion?
Have you tried it yet? If not, are you willing to try it?

And oh, in a not really related note, do you watch UAAP Basketball? Which team are you rooting for? Haha! Excited for tomorrow's game which I might not be able to watch since I'll be in an event. :( Oh well again.

Cheers,
DAWN
