BYS Prismatic Eyeshadow Palette

Hello lovelies!

I'm a big fan of glitters and I love adding sparkles when I do my makeup once in a while... and I don't mean a few glitters, I want shiny sparkles! I usually like the glitters on my eyeshadow, but I rarely find the eyeshadow that has the chunks of shiny glitter that I like. I only find shimmery ones and often are just metallic. When I do find some with chunky glitters, they are usually cream type eyeshadows and those rarely last long on my oily lids.

So when I saw that BYS Cosmetics had a sale on their eyeshadow palettes, I was interested to check out their collection and saw this...

BYS Prismatic Eyeshadow Palette

I saw how glittery they eyeshadows were and I was so tempted to buy it. It was sealed though and the stall didn't have a tester around that day so I relied to the Sales Attendant whether this is a powder eyeshadow or a cream eyeshadow and she said powder. So I bought it! Unfortunately, it turns out that it's a cream type eyeshadow palette.
I got this at a huge discount and even got a free eyebrow pencil and purse. It's regular price is PhP 1.2k.

The packaging looks good. It has a tin slim container and has this metallic purple color with a holographic sheen to it. It suits it's name and claim as seen on the product description below.

Info from the website:

BYS Prismatic Eyeshadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented reflective eyeshadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin, featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators.
The applicators are really small so I don't use it but I do appreciate that 1 has sponge ends and the other has brush ends. I also appreciate the wide mirror included in this palette.

At first, I didn't really recognize that it's cream type. The glitters are not the ugly chunky kind. The glitters are actually very fine but bold at the same time. It's the kind of sparkle that like.

I also like the color selection. I like using the first half more though and I barely use the two blue shades.

The shade names are posted on the label at the back of the palette.

Here's the swatches:

I took photos per six shades for a closer view...
These are the warm shades (first six from the left):

And these are the cooler shades:

It is pigmented and as I've said, I like how fine the glitters but at the same time retain the sparkle that I like. Unfortunately, the cream-type eyeshadows do not hold well on my eyelids and they slide off or crease on my lids. Even with primer, I experience this. I tried topping it off with an eyeshadow that has a shade closer to the glitter shades, but it just ends up blocking the sparkles. I was saaaad.

So I would conclude that this is not the makeup I'll use when I go out. It's more for a creative shoot and I'll just wear it for an hour or two at most. But I can still use it at the lower eyelid but it will not stay too long once my oily skin gets shiny throughout the day.

So that's all for this post. Have you tried the BYS Prismatic Eyeshadow Palette yet? What was your experience?

Cheers,

DAWN
