Shiseido Paperlight Cream Eye Color in Yamabuki Yellow

Hello lovelies!

I was able to receive some gift certificates from Shiseido last August which gave me a PhP 500.00 off for every item I purchased. Since I'm not really looking for anything particular and I just wanted to get the best deal possible, I bought items that were more affordable than the rest from the brand, which were their lipsticks and single eyeshadows. Since I like eye makeup the most, it's a no brainer that I had to check out their eyeshadow pots.

Two shades caught my eyes and one of them is the...

The color is just so vibrant and it has a matte finish! It looks so different that any cream eyeshadow that I have tried!

Anyway, let's get to know the product first from the product description:

First of all, I just have to comment at how beautiful this packaging is! The matte white pot that's decorated with a more opaque logo just looks so elegant! UGH! I just LOVE this.

And when you open it, you get this rich yellow shade that looks pretty much like an acrylic paint!

Check out that yellow! Yamabuki is apparently a flower from the rose family native to east asia. This shade definitely captured the "yellow-ness" of the flower.

When you swatch it, you can immediately feel the buttery smooth texture.

And you get a pigmented swatch right away. I know it says translucent but I love the color so much so I wear it with as bold as possible. When it's sheer, my eyes just look sick... I think it will work better with those with fairer and paler skin.

I just place it on my lid below my crease and set it with transparent setting powder for a longer wear.

Blending is easy because of the smooth texture but the wear time isn't as good as stated, at least for me because of my oily lids. It creases so I had to use a good eye shadow primer to make it stay on for a long time without creasing.

But the intensity of this color is wild! I just love it andI know I can make different creative makeup using this product. :)

What do you think of the Shiseido Paperlight Cream Eye Color in Yamabuki Yellow?

    Cheers,
    DAWN
