Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Cutting Edge

Hey loves!

I just posted an EOTD a couple of days ago and some asked what lipstick I paired that EOTD look with. It's the...

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Cutting Edge

This is one of the products that my sister sent me from Australia. :)

I think this is my first Rimmel lipstick. I know several people who like Rimmel so I'm very interested in trying out more of their products.

The plastic packaging is pretty simple. The cap has a slanted tip with a crown logo that, I guess, adds a little uniqueness to the lipstick tube.

The color is a dark fuchsia shade... almost close to a red wine color. It's very pigmented and can get a very rich color is just one swipe. Check out the swatch below!

It's creamy but still very long lasting. It leaves a sort of stain so even after eating, you still have that beautiful dark fuchsia color on the lips.

If you have dry lips, it can make the dry patches more visible though. :P

The shade is pretty close to the popular MAC Rebel lippie. This one is a bit darker but you can blot it for a lighter finish. That's what I like about this lippie, you can go for a light stain and also go full dark fuchsia! An instant day to night lippie transformation! It can, however, slightly dry the lips so I always put lip balm underneath the lip color to retain some moisture for your lips. :)

What are your thoughts about the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Cutting Edge? :)

Cheers,
DAWN

  5. It looks gorgeous! I just wish the finish didn't look as wet? I don't like overly glossy lippies, maybe because I have such huge lips to begin with.

    1. Ah. Blotting it then reapplying then a light blot can give a not so glossy finish naman e. :D I'm happy I can get the same color in a glossy or matte finish. :P
