Review: Ever Bilena Mousse Concealer

Hello everyone!

One of the best local finds so far is the:

Ever Bilena Mousse Concealer in Pure Beige
12g (quite a huge amount for a concealer!)
Php 175
Available in Watson's

Dawn's Take: I love this! It's my perfect shade - I am a MAC NC30. I don't really use a concealer, relying always on a full-coverage foundation like Revlon Colorstay or MAC Studio Fix Fluid. But when I ran out of both, I immediately bought this one and I am very happy with it! I've been using it for a month already. Among the cheap concealers I've tried (NYC, Dollface), this blendable baby outperforms them all. Coverage is very good and it creases on me only after 6 hours - and that's only when I am very oily already. I will definitely repurchase unless I find a better but still affordable alternative! Pet peeve - packaging isn't creative. It looks like Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse Foundation. Ever Bilena should hire me for designs, haha.

Trace's Take: Calling this a mousse concealer is misleading - this stuff is semi-hard and semi-creamy! I have tried to use this product as a sheer foundation using a damp sponge, but sadly I should have stuck with it as concealer. As the latter, it performs nicely though I find that it creases on me after 3-4 hours on my oily skin. Though I like the spreadable consistency, it still cannot replace my Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. But pretty decent for a local product that's affordable!

See how pigmented it is! You have to pack it on well, though.

  2. i've been wanting to try this but i cant even finish even 1 concealer nowadays. since i'm pretty much on a very light makeup mode these days- meaning i either use just tinted moisturizer for a "heavy" coverage or just a light dusting of body shop mineral foundation to make my pores look smaller. i basically skip the prime, concealer, setting powder and all that jazz. good thing i'm ghostly pale these days, i'm forced to wear blush or bronzers and colored lip products. or else most my makeup will be a waste -_-"

btw do you know if it contains mineral oil?

  6. I've been debating whether to purchase this or not. What I am scared of is, if it is cakey on me or not. Great review though! :)
