Review : Garnier Light BB Eye Roll-On

Hey y'all!

How's your weekend?
Mine's pretty sparkly from the shopping I experienced earlier. Will post about that tomorrow!

But for now, I shall leave you a review on a product that makes me look like I have enough hours of sleep when in fact, I barely get any!

Garnier Light BB Eye Roll-On

I bought this at Landmark, Makati for Php229.00.
The shade I got is in Natural but I'm not sure if there are other shades available.

I bought this because I was super curious about it.
Is it a BB cream or an under eye concealer?
Though I've seen quite a number of blog posts about this, I want to try it for myself. It's not really expensive so I bought it with no hesitation.

So here are information of the product from the packaging:

From the data labeled on the box, I don't think it is exactly a BB cream. It doesn't have SPF too. I think it could pass as a light concealer.

The product comes in a tube. Quite handy to bring along. The design is quite boring though. It's also opaque and very solid so you wouldn't have any idea how much is left until you really ran out of it.

It is a roll-on. It's something different which is nice. But honestly, I'm not a fan of it. The roller ball can get messy and since the application is easier when it's directly applied on the eye area, you have to make sure that your face is really clean.

Here's a swatch of the product on my hands...

and when blended...

The product feels very light and it also has a light consistency which makes it easy to blend. It has a very mild scent too.

The following are photos of my eye before and after the product was applied...

It really did brighten my eyes! It also has a natural finish that doesn't look like you have those very highlighted under eyes. The coverage isn't as strong as some concealers I've tried so I don't think it could entirely cover really dark under eyes.
Lasting power is quite decent too. Never experienced any caking on my under eyes with this one.

LIKES:

♥ Inexpensive
♥ Locally available
♥ Brightens my eyes
♥ Natural finish
♥ Mild scent
♥ decent staying power
♥ Feels light on skin

DISLIKES:

♥ Packaging
♥ Might not cover really dark under eyes.

Will I buy again?
I think it is a good product but I will pass on buying one again. I have tried other under eye concealers at almost the same price range that work as well or even better.

Have you tried the Garnier Light BB Eye Roll-On yet?

Cheers!

The Body Shop Spa Fit Toning Concentrate

Hello ladies,

We've been a little late in posting stuffs this week and we'd like to apologize for that. We've been really busy lately and today as well so, for now we'd like to leave you with our little review(-ish) of The Body Shop Spa Fit Toning Concentrate

As I've said before, this is my favorite freebie from The Body Shop since it has toning and spa in it's name.

Here's what the product promises you, and instructions on how to use. Unfortunately the Spa Fit massage technique booklet (if there is one) does not come with the product.

Love the packaging since it's clean and dispenses cleanly as well.

Love the consistency and the smell. It's citrusy so it gives you that 'ZING!' everytime you smell it.

After application, it leaves a warm feeling to the skin.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to use this for a very long time. The longest use I've done was about a month. Unfortunately, I wasn't really able to notice any difference in tone (visibly). I've applied it to my most troubling areas, thigh and tummy, and all I got was just this really silky smooth feel to the skin and less of the visible toning.

Now I'm not really sure what their standard of toning is, but for my standards, no, I did not notice any. However, I do still wanna try this for when I go to the masseuse and get some good old massage. I wonder if the results would change.

In summary:

What I like:
packaging
consistency of the product
smell

What I don't like:
does not seem to live up to its promise

Well, that's my one month experience with this product. How about you? Have you tried this or any other toning lotions/oils before?

Cheers,
LIZ

NOTD : OMG Cracked Nail Polish in Amethyst

 Hey loves!

It's the start of a busy days for me. Since I got home late today, I'll just have to leave a quick NOTD post for all of you.

I bought a number of cracked polishes that's why I decided to use one of them a few days ago.

OMG Cracked Nail Polish in Amethyst

Here are the polishes I used:

I used this as my base :

Topped it off with the OMG Cracked Nail Polish in Amethyst,

and when it starts to crack and dries, I coat it with a clear polish.

A quick and easy way to make your nails looking artsy!

I'm glad that even if I don't use much my OMG Cracked polishes, they don't dry too soon. And for its price, it's a super great deal!

So anyway, back to the stuff that I have to do...
Oh well. Hope you guys are having fun!

Cheers!

Sense - Beautiful Science

 Hello everyone! ♥

Caring for our skin is a must! I am guilty of not giving proper care to it 'til a couple of years ago. I usually just used a cleanser and a toner and ignore the use of sunscreen, moisturizers and such.

Now that I know better, I use products that help our skin, though I haven't really found my HG products yet. I'm still in the process of trying out products from different brands. I am in-search of those that are effective, non-irritating, yet affordable for me.

I have tried quite a number of products now and I am still willing to try more. So when a classmate of mine introduced to me this skincare line, I got interested.
Her sister is a seller of the products and she gave me a sample set!

 Sense - Beautiful Science

Have you heard of this brand before? I believe it's not well-known yet in our country so to give you an idea about it, here are details from its website:

 The sample contains the following:
(All info are from the website)

Gentle Daily Cleanser
Hydrating Toner
Daytime Protective Emulsion
Perfecting Essence
Eye Nourisher
Each sachet contains 2ml except for the eye nourisher that has 1ml.

And the next pictures contain the ingredients, directions and precautionary advices for each product:
.

What's soooo great about this product is that it doesn't contain parabens or other chemical preservatives. I know some of you prefer these quality in products since it is rumored that parabens and the like can be cancerous. So why take the risk, right?

The sample sachets lasted 2 days. I used them as directed at the labels. The Gentle Daily Cleanser's application is quite unique since you have to put it on dry face before adding water. Once I used this along with the toner, my face feels so clean. The standard sizes of these two are in 120ml bottles and according to my classmate, she and her sis has been sharing a bottle for 3-4 months now!

The Daytime Protective Emulsion which has SPF 15 feels very light on skin as well as the Perfecting Essence. It makes my feel so soft and smooth and I feel like my face feels tighter and hydrated. My classmate also mentioned that it lessened the appearance of blackheads on her sis. The Eye Nourisher on another hand is also light weight. I can't really review it since I don't have eye wrinkles yet. But it does lessen the puffiness in the morning.

The products all smell great! They aren't strong so I don't think it will be annoying to those who doesn't like scented products. And the products really work! Never got any irritations nor breakouts. Only thing that is lacking for me is that it doesn't have oil control. I have really oily skin so I usually look for those that are made for oily, acne-prone skin. I do believe this range fits people with sensitive, normal and dry skin. And oh, a little more SPF would be nice!

If you want to try the products, you can contact my friend,

Stella - 09178809126

And here's a price list too.

It can get quite pricey but it still depends on how much you are willing to spend on your skin care. They last quite a while and they really are effective so I do believe they are worth the price.

Have you heard of Sense - Beautiful Science? Have you tried any of their products yet?

Cheers!
