February-March (2018) Haul

Hey everyone!

Just got back from my vacation at Japan a couple of days ago. I'm still on a high because that was a 9-day long trip and I was able to see so many beautiful sights and ate delicious food. I'll share with you some of the details on a future post along with the beauty items I bought. :)

For today, I want to at least post something on the blog. So here's a haul post about the new items I bought for the past two months (I know I keep saying I need to stop but I will give up now because I know myself and I'm pretty sure I'll keep on buying something for the next coming months. Haha!). So here they are...

First is this Althea Box. I took advantage of their clearance sale and I bought items with huge discounts! Yay! I'll post the original price but I was able to buy all items at half off.

January (2018) Haul

Hey loves!

Sooo... I was honestly trying to save money for travels that I have lined up for 2018. Unfortunately, I miserably failed this first month of the year because I splurged on new things. Splurged. Haha! I blame the new year sales and the clearance/end of season sales that I bought more things than I initially planned. Ugh. BUT I do love everything I bought... it's just that I bought too much of the same thing/s. In short, most are excess. lol

Anyway, here are the items I bought:

NOTD: White Flowers on Pink

Hello beauties!

It's been a while since my last post. The first week of the new semester just passed and I did not hate it as much as I thought I would. LOL I thought that it would be hell because I enrolled for 3 subjects instead of the usual 2. ANYWAY, just gonna share this cute and girly FOTD for tonight!

Cutie, right????????

I did this in the office when my bosses were out... shhhh!

I bought these polishes with me. I already imagined this design before I headed out for work that day.

First I applied 2 coats of the CLIO Professional Nail Styler in S106.

With a dotter, I applied the CODE Professional in V900.

And for the center of the flowers and the leaves, I used Revlon Nail Art Expressionist in Monet Monet.

I tried to place the flowers on only half of each nail. I don't want to make my nails look overcrowded with flowers. Ha... ha... ha... :P

And that's it! That's my FOTD. :P
Super simple to do and it looks really pretty and nice. Some even asked me where I had my nail art made! So easy and it looks professionally made! Oh yeah!

So how do you like my NOTD? :)

EOTD: Honey Bronze

Hi guys!

Just sharing the eye makeup I wore today. I was in the mood for metallics but I wanted it simple because I'm just going to work (plus, our new uniforms are hideous and I wasn't really in the mood for colorful looks because of all the greyness in our uniform). :P And so I went with a warm gold-bronze combination sans the usual black liner.

See how simple it is? I think this look would be great for people who go to work or school that have little time to spare for makeup. It's a simple 5-minute look that's super easy to make!

I used these makeup:

img source: here

MAC Royal Assets : 6 Metallic Eyes Palette
MAC eyeliner in Bountiful Brown

I included the two products I used for my brows so all-in-all, I only used 6 products. Nice, right?

For the eyeshadows, I used the 3 shades on the left and the black one on the right. The colors are pretty easy to blend together and I simply made a gradient effect—light to dark from top to bottom.

So below are some closeup shots of my eye...

I added the black shadow to add a little "extra volume" effect on my lashes and then I added the gold eye liner under my lower lash line to brighten the look.

Simple and bright!

I kept the rest of my makeup plain and simple with a peachy pink blush and a nude pink lipstick!

And that's my EOTD! Hope you liked it!

Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner in Gold Shine

Hey loves!

Sharing a quick swatch post of one of the eyeliners I've recently bought...

Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner in Gold Shine No. 12
I bought this at SM Mall of Asia department store for Php 475.00.

I just bought this so I could give it a try. I am a fan of their Kill Black Pen Eyeliner so I was hoping that their gel liner pencil would be equally impressive.

Anyway, let's see first what the product info says about the eyeliner:

Ooooh! It's available in different shades!

Packaging looks really classy. I love the black pencil with the labels colored according to the shade of the product.

The sharpener label doesn't mean that it has the literal sharpener we know. This pencil is a twist-up pencil and in order to get more product, you just twist the end a.k.a. the "sharpener" part.

Here's the closeup of the pencil.

And here's the full-extent of it.

Swatch on my hand

When smudged

The colored stayed but there's a little smudging that happened. It's still okay for me since I plan on using this under my lower lash line. Check the photos below.

The effect just brightens the eyes. I already have a pink one from Holika Holika that I absolutely love. This one, I use when I want a warmer shimmer.

This is a really good product and I love the pigmentation... it's just that I'm not super impressed with this because the Jewel-Light Pencils from Holika Holika works just as good but is worth half the price of this one so if ever I want other colors, I'd go with the Holika ones. :P

So what do you think of this product? Have you tried other products from Clio yet?

September (2014) Haul—Because It's My Birth Month!

Hi dears!

Because it is my birth month, I spoiled myself by shopping all day last Saturday at SM Mall of Asia. I was the makeup artist of two of my friends who attended a cosplay event at SMX. The MIBF was also happening on that week so I also visited the booths of different bookstores and publishers. But I didn't buy any books—there were too many people and I didn't see any interesting art books.

And by the way, the stuff I bought at MOA were discounted because it was their 3-day sale last weekend. Some of the products were already at 10-20% off and you get an additional 10% off when you reach Php 1,500.00. My purchases were over that price requirement so every product here that was bought from the department store's beauty section are 10% off.

So anyway, I just wanna share with you the new stuff I got. Some of them will be reviewed on future posts. :)

72-Piece Prismacolor Colored Pencils — Php 3,000.00

I bought this last Thursday actually... This is my ultimate splurge/birthday gift to myself. I've always wanted one and I kept holding back because it is quite pricey. But I think now that I've been working my butt off at my job and at my classes at grad school, I think I deserve this. :P

And here are the stuff I bought from SM Department Store:

Heroine Make Mineral BB Loose Powder in #02 Natural—Php 695.00

I really liked the texture when I tried this out during the launch a few weeks ago. :)

PIXY  Silky Fit Lipstick in Puppy Love Satin and Pinkish Peach Satin—Php 245.00 each

Some of my blogger friends told me that the lippies from Pixy are really good so I was convinced to try it out. I even bought two!

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Crazy Berry – Php 99.00

Sally Hansen Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover—Php 225.00
Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat—Php 395.00
And a free nail polish remover pump!

The S.A. was really nice. I was just looking at the Maybelline Color Show polishes when she approached me. I wanted to get a matte top coat but she offered that if I buy a nail polish remover, I get the pump for free. I was like, "What the heck, I'll get that too. It's my birthday anyway!" LOL

Clio Gelspresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner in No. 12—Php 475.00
I wanted to see if their gel pencil liner is as good as the pen eyeliner that I like so much!

Ogx (Organix) Moroccan Curling Perfection Defining Cream—Php 499.00
Ogx (Organix) Hydrating Macadamia Oil—Php 499.00

I've read really good reviews on the brand so I wanted to try it out myself. I picked variants that I think would suit my long, colored, permed hair.

Foot Treat Anti Bacterial Foot Spray in Magnolia—Php 115.00
DermAid Moisturizing Cracked Heel Cream—Php 79.00

Marionnaud Eyelash Curler Refill—Php 20+

Johnson's Baby Bath—forgot the price :P

Veet Wax Strips for Normal Skin—Php 257.50

And I also got various freebies just because my purchases amounted to Php 1k+.
A shirt, a small bag, and a sample of Vidal Sassoon Shampoo and Conditioner

I stopped by Beauty Bar as well and bought this makeup remover:
Nature by Canus All Natural Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Milk and Make-Up Remover—Php 280.00
Original price was Php 950.00.

Awesome deal, don't you think so too?

Karma Soap and Porridge (Oatmeal) Soap from Lush

I forgot the price and I've already thrown out the receipt. :P I just love the smell of these soaps so I wanted to pamper myself this month with soaps that are quite expensive for my budget. LOL

And those are my new babies! Feel free to comment below the ones you're interested on reading a review about! :)

Review : Clio Professional Waterproof Brush Liner and O'Tank Volume Mascara in Kill Black

Hello dears!

I'm excited to share with you this AWESOME eyeliner I bought last September.
I was tempted to buy this when I first saw it months ago because the ambassador is Lee Hyori. I know her because she performed with Bigbang before and I also watched some episodes of Family Outing, a funny South Korean Variety show which stars different celebrities such as Lee Hyori and Kang Daesung (a member of Bigbang). I know that she's one of the really famous idols in Korea (but I don't know any of her songs... sorry).

Clio Professional Waterproof Brush Liner and O'Tank Volume Mascara in Kill Black
For Php 695.00, you get an eyeliner and a mascara!

Oh, another ambassador of Clio is Dara of 2NE1! :D

Below are pictures of the labels about the products in english:

The items are well packaged. They are sturdy and the shape and size are practical.

The design is classy with the sleek black packaging with gold fonts.

Here's a swatch on my hand:

They're really black! Both mascara and eyeliner give off a bold black color which is a huge plus for me. :)

I don't have much to say about the O'Tank Volume Mascara.
It's not lengthening and it only does a bit of volumizing.

The brush is a quite big but still easy to use.

Check how it performs on my lashes below:

Bare lashes

with the product

It doesn't clump my lashes and the formula is light—it doesn't bring down my lashes. That's pretty much it. It would have been awesome if it gives more volume or lengthens my lashes. But it doesn't. I don't think it's waterproof too since whenever I wipe my eyes after I yawn, some of the product transfers to my tissue. :P

Now the eyeliner's turn...

This is probably one of the best brush/pen eyeliners I've tried. I'd buy this at the same price even without the mascara! :P

When it says Kill Black, it's really black!

The brush has a fine tip and you can easily manipulate it according to the thickness of the line you desire.

Below are pictures of my eye wearing the liner:

The thing I like most about this is the staying power. It's really waterproof. I have oily lids and this barely smudges on me (except when I rub my eyes while my lids are very oily). I'm amazed how this stays on my lids from the time I applied it at 7 am til I get home from work and my class at grad school at 9pm. 14 hours!!! That's better than any liquid and gel liner I've tried... better than the famous K-Palette just because this is blacker!

That's my short thoughts on Clio Professional Waterproof Brush Liner and O'Tank Volume Mascara in Kill Black. I hope this review is helpful.
What do you think of the products? Have you tried any of them yet?
