Liz's September Haul Post

Good day ladies,

It's been a while since I've gone out shopping and the first few things I buy are actually gifts for other people. Two of them I can't post yet since I haven't given them out yet. But anyway, here are things I've bought over the past month.

Bought Dawn's gift from The Body Shop, their Vitamin C face mist.

The Shu Uemura is actually a gift from a friend who went to Japan.

About 3 years ago, I bought myself a gold one from Sephora during my Canada trip. You can check that one out along with our mini review by clicking the link. I signed up for a Sephora card and this year's birthday freebie was this Nars lip pencil/lipstick.

Good thing one of aunts there, who always picks up my birthday freebies, had a friend who came back for vacation this year. I often see notifications from Sephora about my freebies and their current on sale items. It does frustrate me so much that there isn't any Sephora store in the Philippines and that they don't ship here.

I had been eyeing a lot of their Sephora favorites sets to give as gifts to friends since they're a lot cheaper than the gift sets locally available in Beauty Bar shops. But then again, there are a lot of other web based stores with a wide selection of make-up items that ship locally, like Zalora, they even have promotions and discounts which are surely budget friendly. You can click the link (store name) to visit their sites and browse.

And here, I finally bought something for myself. I've been attending Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes in the past month and my knees are getting scraped by the uniforms. To prevent further injuries, I bought these knee pads at Trinoma's Landmark store.

Not included in the pictures are the gifts I bought for my mom and my sister. I bought my sister a cookie scooper, which looks a lot like an ice cream scoop. As for my mom, I bought her something to keep our oven clean, so she doesn't have to clean it as often.

This is such a measly haul post, but one I am quite proud of since they come from my "salary". I hope in the future I may be able to post more hauls.

Cheers,
LIZ

Introducing pH Care Naturals in Papaya and Guava

Hey everyone!

Everything we need is provided by nature. I feel like if I see that a certain product is all-organic or natural, it's safer than those that contain various chemicals. Now that most stuff are commercialized, businesses resort to using artificial chemicals for cost-cutting in creating mass productions of their products. These actions made the quality of many items poorer and there are even instances and some theories that these cause some health problems... so yeah, I think that going natural will always be a positive thing for me.

A week ago, I got news that one of the leading intimate hygiene brands released two variants that use natural ingredients in their products to address our concerns and I find this very favorable. Check out the press release about it below:

 Experience natural care “down there”

Everyone’s going all-natural these days, whether we’re talking about organic food, health supplements from plant and animal extracts, and even personal care and beauty products. And, why not? Ever since, people have long used natural ingredients to effectively address their woes and concerns.

This is why pH Care bottled up nature’s wonders through two popularly used ingredients, papaya and guava leaves, to come up with their all-new pH Care Naturals line in pH Care Naturals Papaya and pH Care Naturals Guava. The folks behind best-selling feminine wash pH Care have an intimate understanding of the importance of caring for your feminine area, and they expertly combine the properties of these winning natural ingredients with their mild and effective intimate care products.

pH Care Naturals Papaya

There are a lot of factors that can influence a woman’s confidence when it comes to donning that swimsuit, including puson problems and cleavage consciousness. But one other common insecurity many women have is dark skin in and around the feminine area, and this is something they can feel self-conscious about even in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms and bathrooms. And, while there are many products for whitening dark skin in other parts of the body, most of these aren’t safe or suited for use in intimate areas. But now, pH Care has a new whitening feminine wash variant that uses natural ingredients, so you keep the sensitive area fresh and fair. The new pH Care Naturals Papaya is powered with papaya extract, so you get fairer skin in as early as 14 days! And since we know papaya is one of nature’s wonders when it comes to skin-whitening, you’re sure to get only the best results with the mildest ingredients.

(I just tried the Papaya variant today and I love the scent. I'll be using this first and I am hoping that this will be effective in what it claims. ;) )
pH Care Naturals Guava

Even if you’re not overly concerned with dark skin, you may still want a feminine wash made from natural ingredients that will still keep your intimate area fresh and clean. After all, in a hot country like ours, sweat can lead to discomfort, even body odor, and infection—and it’s worse when it involves the feminine area! But no need to worry; pH Care Naturals Guava has been specially infused with guava leaf extract, which is well-known for its cleansing and anti-bacterial properties. In fact, the use of guava leaves for intimate care is a traditionally renowned practice passed on from generation to generation. So if you’re among the 33% of Filipinas constantly seeking for natural solutions “down there,” then give pH Care Naturals Guava a try. It will naturally deodorize the area so you can feel confident regardless of outfit, activity, or even weather. It has quite a refreshing scent, too!

(I used this one yesterday... Among the two, the Guava variant smells better! But the whitening promise the Papaya one claims just made me prefer to use it more.

These products are very mild. I didn't feel any stingy feeling and these didn't dry my intimate area (pH balanced!!!). Anyway, I'll write a more detailed review on these sometime soon. :) )

Now, you can be assured of natural care “down there”, para fresh and clean na, odor-free pa!

The NEW! pH Care Naturals Intimate Wash is available for P49.50 (50mL) and P104 (150mL) at leading supermarkets, drugstores, and beauty stores. For more information, check out facebook.com/pHCare.

FOTD : A Happy 26 Year Old Me!

Hey loves

It's my birthday! YAYYYY!!!
I'll be celebrating with loved ones in a couple of hours so the moment I finished doing my makeup, I grabbed my cam and took pictures so I can share with you the look I have right now. :P

So this is what I currently look like.

I chose some of my favorite makeup for today. Here they are...

I'll update the post with the names of every product when I get home later.

As for the eyes, I made a simple nude-mauve combination.

And of course, my favorite winged eyeliner look is there!

I also used my favorite lipstick, MAC Ruby Woo. My mom always tell us to wear red on our birthdays because it's a celebration. I dunno what culture that's from... is it Chinese or Filipino? Anyway, it's good that my lippie looks awesome with my blouse!

So that's all for now. Gonna go spend the day with the friends and family! Wooot! Maybe I'll blog about my birthday celebrations in a few days. :)

Have a great day, guys! Love ya!

Cheers,
DAWN

L.A. Girl Creme Lipstick in Forbidden Love

Hello dearies!

I don't think I can ever have enough pinkish/peachy nude lippies. I think I own almost 10 of them when I decided to buy this one last month...

L.A. Girl Creme Lipstick in Forbidden Love
I bought this for PhP 299.00 at SM Manila's Department Store.

This is my first product from the brand... I guess I just bought this mostly because I want to try something from L.A. Girl. I didn't have any intentions of buying a lipstick when I strolled around the department store but when I saw their stall, I got curious and among their products, this lipstick caught my eye because of its shade. I love "almost nude" shades so I just had to swatch it! I saw how pigmented it was and I just grabbed one and toss it in my shopping basket. :P

Around the seal of the lipstick packaging, you'll see the shade's name and the other important details such as the shelf life and ingredients.

You have to peel it off to use the product though. Good thing I took a picture of the labels first. :P

Product description from the website:

Luxury Creme' Lipstick delivers ultra-rich colors in a lightweight formula. Its blend of moisturizing ingredients of aloe, shea butter & vitamin E enhances lips, leaving a smoother, healthier feel. Glides on effortlessly with the slant top, for-flawless even coverage.

The brand's Creme Lipstick range is quite wide. At the website, it has twenty four shades available!

Anyway, let's focus on this shade...

Here's a closeup of the product and at it's full length.

Swatch on hand

I got that opaque peachy nude shade in one swipe. Nice, right?

On the lips

I love how pigmented the product is, but I was immediately turned off by the scent. :( I really wish I smelled it before I bought it. The scent is like some chemical that I can't really point out... I first thought that I will outgrow it but the scent is just too strong. Ugh. Well, after a few minutes, you won't notice the scent anymore... I guess it's because the nose has adapted to the scent by then.

I still use the lipstick. I still think that the shade and pigmentation is really good. Just look at how bright it makes my face look...

I wish they can do something on the formula to improve the scent. And maybe a cuter package design? Haha! Other than that, I really like the lippie! The shade is my kind of lipstick... it's something that I can use in many makeup looks.

What do you think of the L.A. Girl Creme Lipstick in Forbidden Love? :)

Cheers,
DAWN
