NOTD: Pink Night Sky

Hey dearies!

Sharing my NOTD!

I was in the mood for a colorful and sparkly one so I got created this using five nail polishes (didn't include my base coat and top coat).

Skin Food Nail Vita in PK205
Miniso Nail Polish
Maybelline Color Show in Crazy Berry
CODE Professional in G603
The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Colour in Sequins Gold

Creating this look is easy. I arranged the nail polishes according to how I used them. So I used the first one as a base. Then, after it dries, I got an old makeup sponge and applied the second and third polishes next to each other to create a gradient effect and stamped it on each nail. I topped the darkest shade with the fourth polish and when everything dries, I topped the whole nail with the last polish.

Each nail is like a pink galaxy on the tip of your finger!

It's pretty easy to do but I like that it doesn't look simple. I like the burst of colors and glitter.

So what do you think of this NOTD?

NOTD: Abstract Pastels

Hey guys!

Whenever I get bored, I just scroll down my Facebook timeline and see if there's something interesting to read or watch. I saw this nail tutorial (I'm sorry but I can't remember from who or which page that was from) and the look was pretty much like an action painting. My nail art skills aren't as good though and my nail art tools are limited so I can only come up with this:

It's a mix of purples and blues with glitters, of course!

These are the products I used:

CODE Professional in G603
Maybelline Color Show in
Jenna Hipp (shade to follow)
ORLY Top2Bottom Basecoat + Top Coat
ORLY French Manicure
And some gold chunky glitters :)

It's pretty easy to do. I just fill the nails with my chosen base, preferrably a light colored one and then add the colors. I tap the brush first on a tissue so that it doesn't carry too much polish so that it creates a sort of brush stroke with extra streaks. Play with the colors! Go for light and then dark ones. I added some glitters for extra glam and accents.

What do you think of this NOTD?

NOTD : Berries and Sequins

Hey guys!

I've been getting a lot of compliments about my NOTD. I've been wearing it for a few days already...

And it's pretty easy to do. I just used a base coat and these three nail polishes...

It's just layering. I used the violet shade from Maybelline as base and then added the glittery polishes. First was the one from CODE and then the gold ones from The Body Shop. The glittery ones were applied on only the 2/3s of each nail.

The dark violet shade gives that serious vibe but the sparkly glitters just adds the glam! This look is very eye-catching because like I've mentioned, I've gotten compliments even though I didn't intentionally show my hands so that my nails can be seen. :P

I just love glitter polishes... I just don't like removing them. Haha!

And that's all for this NOTD post!

NOTD: Maybelline Color Show in Crazy Berry

Hey guys!

I had a tough time getting home because of the sudden downpour of heavy rain. Good thing I brought the car with me so I didn't have to brave the flood around UST.

It was an hour and a half drive for something that was supposed to be sometime around 15 minutes. The traffic was just crazy! But thank goodness I got home safe.

Anyway, I just wanna relax now that I am home. So for tonight, I'll just share a quick NOTD which I actually applied while I was at work. (Shhhh! Don't tell my boss! LOL)

This is my newest nail polish, the Maybelline Color Show in Crazy Berry.
I bought it for Php 99.00 at SM Mall of Asia Department Store.

I bought the shade because I think I don't have this color yet and also because I wanna try this Color Show variant from Maybelline.

Now that I have applied it on my nails, it sort of reminds me of an eggplant. LOL Well, that's one of my favorite veggies so I guess that's fine. Haha!

So what do you think of the shade? Do you have a favorite among the Color Show nail polishes from Maybelline?

September (2014) Haul—Because It's My Birth Month!

Hi dears!

Because it is my birth month, I spoiled myself by shopping all day last Saturday at SM Mall of Asia. I was the makeup artist of two of my friends who attended a cosplay event at SMX. The MIBF was also happening on that week so I also visited the booths of different bookstores and publishers. But I didn't buy any books—there were too many people and I didn't see any interesting art books.

And by the way, the stuff I bought at MOA were discounted because it was their 3-day sale last weekend. Some of the products were already at 10-20% off and you get an additional 10% off when you reach Php 1,500.00. My purchases were over that price requirement so every product here that was bought from the department store's beauty section are 10% off.

So anyway, I just wanna share with you the new stuff I got. Some of them will be reviewed on future posts. :)

72-Piece Prismacolor Colored Pencils — Php 3,000.00

I bought this last Thursday actually... This is my ultimate splurge/birthday gift to myself. I've always wanted one and I kept holding back because it is quite pricey. But I think now that I've been working my butt off at my job and at my classes at grad school, I think I deserve this. :P

And here are the stuff I bought from SM Department Store:

Heroine Make Mineral BB Loose Powder in #02 Natural—Php 695.00

I really liked the texture when I tried this out during the launch a few weeks ago. :)

PIXY  Silky Fit Lipstick in Puppy Love Satin and Pinkish Peach Satin—Php 245.00 each

Some of my blogger friends told me that the lippies from Pixy are really good so I was convinced to try it out. I even bought two!

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Crazy Berry – Php 99.00

Sally Hansen Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover—Php 225.00
Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat—Php 395.00
And a free nail polish remover pump!

The S.A. was really nice. I was just looking at the Maybelline Color Show polishes when she approached me. I wanted to get a matte top coat but she offered that if I buy a nail polish remover, I get the pump for free. I was like, "What the heck, I'll get that too. It's my birthday anyway!" LOL

Clio Gelspresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner in No. 12—Php 475.00
I wanted to see if their gel pencil liner is as good as the pen eyeliner that I like so much!

Ogx (Organix) Moroccan Curling Perfection Defining Cream—Php 499.00
Ogx (Organix) Hydrating Macadamia Oil—Php 499.00

I've read really good reviews on the brand so I wanted to try it out myself. I picked variants that I think would suit my long, colored, permed hair.

Foot Treat Anti Bacterial Foot Spray in Magnolia—Php 115.00
DermAid Moisturizing Cracked Heel Cream—Php 79.00

Marionnaud Eyelash Curler Refill—Php 20+

Johnson's Baby Bath—forgot the price :P

Veet Wax Strips for Normal Skin—Php 257.50

And I also got various freebies just because my purchases amounted to Php 1k+.
A shirt, a small bag, and a sample of Vidal Sassoon Shampoo and Conditioner

I stopped by Beauty Bar as well and bought this makeup remover:
Nature by Canus All Natural Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Milk and Make-Up Remover—Php 280.00
Original price was Php 950.00.

Awesome deal, don't you think so too?

Karma Soap and Porridge (Oatmeal) Soap from Lush

I forgot the price and I've already thrown out the receipt. :P I just love the smell of these soaps so I wanted to pamper myself this month with soaps that are quite expensive for my budget. LOL

And those are my new babies! Feel free to comment below the ones you're interested on reading a review about! :)

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in Pink Punch

Hi gorgeous!

Here's a really pretty peachy pink shade from Maybelline...

Maybelline Color Show in Pink Punch

A tube is worth Php 165.00.

The Color Show line is somewhat new. It's believe it was launched sometime this year. There are around 20 shades available.

When you buy it, you'll see on the seal some info regarding the product (ingredients list, volume, where it was made).

The packaging is a simple, sleek tube. A more serious look compared to other lipstick designs from the brand.

This lipstick has a very mild pleasant smell. It's creamy and moisturizing. I don't need any lip balm underneath when I use this. Never encountered any lip chapping with this on!

I really like the shade—it's peachy pink! It's very sweet, simple, and feminine.

on my lips

The shade is very rich and it makes my lips look moisturized and fuller. Lasting power is pretty decent. It can stay as long as 5 hours with minimal eating/drinking.

This is really a good product. The quality is very good and it's extremely affordable! What else would you want, right? :D
