A Day of Relaxation at Princess Hazel Salon & Spa

Hello guys!

In the past weeks, I've been feeling stressed because of the tons of work I have to do in school and at work. I've been worried about so many things and I've lacked hours of sleep. During the times that I can go to bed early, I have a hard time sleeping. So yeah, the past weeks were difficult for me.

So I was so happy when I was invited to try out the services at Princess Hazel Salon & Spa. I'm a bit aware of this place because I saw some blog posts about it.

They invited me and even let me choose the time that is most convenient for me, which I very much appreciate. I have been working and studying almost everyday of the week so my time is really important right now. So I scheduled on a day that I know is much deserving of a pamper session. I decided to go on a Saturday after my class at graduate school. I thought that after a long week, I want to get some rest and do something I like a lot, which is anything beauty related.

Princess Hazel Salon and Spa is located at the 2nd floor of the Pacific Century Tower at Quezon Ave. It's near EDSA too so getting there is quite easy. I drove to the place and it was actually the first time I get to drive that far north alone. But good thing the place was very easy to go to.

When you arrived at the entrance, you will be greeted by purple walls and golden embellishments. So royal!

They promise you a royal treatment! You'll get pampered from their variety of services, you will feel comfortable with their very friendly staff, and you also get to wear a crown while sitting on a throne! I'm not even kidding, check out the photos below:

A crown is provided for every chair/throne. You can wear them while you get your nails done and get a perfect royal selfie!

The chairs look so regal, even the pillows are made with gold patterns!

They separate rooms for different services like a wax area and the RF (Radio Frequency) room...

There's an area for the hair services...

...and also a place for the massage and body scrubs.

This is actually the place where I spent most of my time at Princess Hazel Salon and Spa the most because the services I got was a whole body scrub and massage!

I wasn't able to take much pictures because the lights were very dim to create a relaxing ambiance.

So yeah, this is the only selfie I can do because it was very dark. :P

So anyway, let's talk about my experience during my body scrub and massage sessions. My masseuse was Alma. She was very friendly and easy to get along with. I don't get much body massage because I get very conscious with my body being exposed and touched by a stranger, but Alma made me feel comfortable during the entire session.

You will be provided with a robe and a disposable underwear. You can also borrow some shorts if you prefer that one.

So after I changed, I got my body scrub. The massage bed was covered in plastic to maintain the cleanliness of the bed. The scrub used smelled so good, but I can't remember what it was exactly... I asked but I just can't seem to remember... I think it's like cocoa butter or something similar to that. But it just smells really good that also helped me feel more relaxed. I'm also getting massaged during the body scrub so I began feeling sleepy (I only slept for around 4 hours the night before).

It's my first time to get a whole body massage and I didn't know what to expect as results. And after the scrubbing, I was wrapped in the plastic like a cocoon... or maybe just like a big plastic blanket for 10 minutes so that the scrub will linger and get absorbed by the skin. Then I get to rinse the scrub off my body. The bathroom was equipped with bathing products actually. There are small bottles of shampoo and conditioner and some shower gels, etc.

After rinsing, I immediately noticed how soft my skin became. I guess the dead skin cells on my body are exfoliated well. I couldn't stop touching my skin because it's just so smooth!

Anyway, the whole body massage came next. They used a massage oil that is pretty much close to the scent of the body scrub used on me. Alma did a great job with my massage. I am quite sensitive when it comes to massages. I am big and have a strong pain threshold so I don't mind if I get hard massages. But unfortunately for me, there was a time that I end up with a bruise or something. But on that day, I didn't. The pressure Alma applied during the massage session was just right. It was so relaxing I almost fell asleep.

After almost an hour, the massage was over. I was surprised that it took that long because I was enjoying the pampering very much. And so I got changed back to my clothes and then enjoyed a refreshing cup of tea.

And that was my very relaxing session at Princess Hazel Salon and Spa. You can check out their other services below along with their prices:

Oh, besides getting pampered and prettified, you can also shop for your beauty essentials here. They got products like wigs, hair accessories, bracelets, and rings!

And that concludes my day of relaxation.

All About Dermcare

Hey dears!

3 weeks ago, I went to Robinsons Galleria to check out the Red Hot Sale that is happening for the whole month of August. I've visited some shops that participated and one place that offered really good deals is Dermcare.

What is Dermcare?

Here are some info I got from their press release for your information:

Honestly, I am not aware of Dermcare until that day I visited their branch at Robinsons Galleria. I can't believe that I didn't know about this for so long, it has been around for 30 years and has dozens of branches around the Philippines. One branch is even 5 minutes away from me.

And just by looking at the pictures, the interiors of their branches look beautiful and extravagant. Jazz, from their marketing team, told me that every branch looks different from the other, like they have a different theme. Here's how the one from Robinsons Galleria look like:

I'm loving the hair salon part. This is like a colorful turkish design interior if I am not mistaken. The room is very bright and the windows are really big that during night time, you'll get a good view of the city lights.

The couple's room is my favorite as stated in my previous blog about the place.

There are cozy massage beds that are side by side,

there's a sauna room,

and even a fancy tub for washing off products like when you avail the body scrubs.

If you're wondering what kind of services they provide, check out this list below:

They also do waxing at very affordable prices!

So much services at very affordable prices. I am already thinking of availing two services soon. It's amazing that Dermcare provide treatments for the face, hair and body. It's like you don't have to look for other places because Dermcare provides the convenience of giving you all these services in one place. I haven't tried any of them yet but I will soon and I will surely blog about my experience so I hope you wait for it. ;)

During the Robinsons' Red Hot Sale, Dermcare at Robinsons Galleria has these amazing offers:

Diamond Power Peel for only Php 500
Body Scrub for Php 450
Eyelash Extension for Php 500
and a hair rebonding session for only Php 1,500 at ANY LENGTH!

That's for the whole of August so you have until next week to get these amazing offers!

Here are the list of branches if you'd like to visit them:

Nail Pamper Experience at My Pretty Nails Salon

 Hey Loves!

Are you a fan of getting hand spas or foot spas? How about getting manicure services or even nail arts?
I actually barely get any of these since I felt like I could just do these at home. But I rarely ever do them anyway. I guess I'm just too tired to do all these myself. It was just this Saturday afternoon at My Pretty Nails Salon that I felt how rewarding such services felt.

I received an invitation from Rachelle to try out My Pretty Nails' services and I was happy to grab the opportunity. She let me pick the day I'm most convenient to visit and so last Saturday, an afternoon of pampering happened.

The place wasn't hard to find. It's just across Shangri La Plaza (Shaw Blvd. side). The building (Soho Residences) isn't fully done yet so you might have to ask the security guard there where it is exactly to avoid walking around the buildings getting lost like I did. :P

I was late that I was getting so embarrassed but I got so excited again when I saw this really cute exterior of the salon!

And upon entering, this is what you'll see...

A cute, Victorian themed room...

...with lovely furnitures...

...and a feminine and lush ambiance.

I seriously want to have this pink chair in my room! I heard that this was customized.

Loving the centerpiece of the room, the crystal chandelier,

 and the wallpaper!

The place was actually designed by a fresh grad from UP and I think he/she did an amazing job!

The princess-wannabe in me wanted to have a room like this!

Also loving this gold painted product holder:

It looks so chic! Even the products it holds have such cute containers!

But before we proceed to my experience, let me share with you some info on what My Pretty Nails Salon is all about:
(description from their Facebook Page)

My Pretty Nails

"Placing Art At Your Fingertips"

Our Victorian-inspired nail salon provides a relaxing atmosphere to clients having their manicure, pedicure or spa. With our complimentary services, clients can enjoy their choice of organic treatments in cozy victorian chairs.

My Pretty Nails specializes in glamorous nail art designs using the latest gel art technology. Embellishments like dried flowers and rhinestones are meticulously placed on each client’s nails to give them their desired nail art look, which remains aesthetically intact for up to a month.

We guarantee that all our clients receive exactly the same pretty treatment and the same beauty attention they truly deserve.

Tools are sterilized after each use.

Use of organic products for hand and foot spa.

Complimentary drink

Nail technicians are trained to observe proper sanitation.

Wide variety of nail polish to choose from.

So let's proceed to my lovely afternoon in My Pretty Nails...

They let me try their Pretty Spa Manicure and Pedicure which includes soak, exfoliation, cleaning, moisturizer, massage and premium polish ! They even let me choose which kind to get!

I took the Kapeng Barako and their bestseller, Pomegranate and Fig.

I loooove the scent of the Kapeng Barako! After 5 hours, I can still smell it!

They use locally made products and also imported products. I was impressed that they support local goods since I believe that we really do have great products. It's just the 'colonial mentality' kicking in most of our minds which is why we rarely take interest in Filipino-made items.

And what's even better is that all of these products are organic!!

The session was really relaxing. The place was dimly lit and the scents of the products used were just heavenly!

Bebs, who did my manicure, and Pia, who did my pedicure, have really light hands that I could just fall asleep as they prettify my nails!

They even served me some hot green tea. The teapot looks too cute!!! I believe they offer other drinks too like iced tea and such. :P

They let me choose what nail polish I would like to wear and I chose these two:

China Glaze in United for my hands and Orly in Rage for my toes.

And here's the output:

Loved this shade so much I even bought a bottle!

I know my feet aren't pleasant-looking but as you can see, it looks so clean and soft now!

And btw, they have tons and tons of polishes to choose from!

Not only that, they also offer nail art and gel art services!

Below are their designs:

Lovely and colorful, aren't they?
Looking at these inspired me to experiment on nail arts too. If mine didn't turn out so well, I'll just come back here. Haha!

And oh! Besides massages, spas and nail art services, they also offer waxing services!

They have a separate room for this.

They use different scents like honey and rose.

Below are the prices for the waxing services:

And here are the lists of services that My Pretty Nails Salon offers with their corresponding prices:

Isn't it fantastic that they also have services for little girls too? It's perfect for a mommy and daughter bonding session!

They also give loyalty cards that give you a free body massage or nail art for your 10th visit! These cards are valid for a year.

And of course, I had to have a picture with the lovely ladies, Pia and Bebs, who pampered me during that afternoon! They were so friendly and pleasant to talk to.

And of course, a picture with Rachelle!

She was so nice and answered all of my questions.
She told me that she was a huge fan of nail spas and that she incorporated everything she prefers in a spa salon in My Pretty Nails - the Victorian motif and the relaxing ambiance to name a few. The salon is fairly new. They just opened last April!
She also shared that they do plan on opening other branches. I do hope they open one near our place! I would have loved to frequent the salon it's just that Mandaluyong is a bit far from our house.

It was truly a relaxing afternoon for me. I'm so happy with the experience that I strongly recommend you try My Pretty Nails Salon's services!
