Shu Uemura Metal:Ink Liquid Eye Liner in ME Brown

Hello dearies!

I like shimmery eye makeup, but usually the simple, nude, shimmery kind. It gives you a brighter look with a hint of glam. That's why I was just so happy when I received this as a freebie when I ordered one Shu Uemura product from BeautyMNL:

Shu Uemura Metal:Ink Liquid Eye Liner in ME Brown

It costs PhP 1,750.00, but unfortunately, the brand just closed its doors in the Philippines a few months back. :( I guess that's the reason for the promos.

Anyway, here are pics containing the product info from the box:

And on the packaging:

And info from the website:

Vibrant metallic colors - lasting day & night.
Waterproof, easy-to-use, intense shades.
Long-lasting liquid liner meets dramatic explosion of colors. 10 metallic shades inspired by hanabi, a festival of fireworks that vividly decorate tokyo nights.

Define, decorate and empower your eyes.

I love the classy-looking packaging. I also like that it has that strip of the shade it's in.

The applicator is easy to use and it creates a fine, solid line.

The shade is a warm, brown color with glitters that are a mix of gold, silver, and purple/pink. It's so beautiful!  See the swatch below:

I got this rich color with one swipe.

I tested its durability...

When I rubbed it with my hand, it barely smudged. It did lose some of its vibrance, but it's still looking gorgeous.

But when I rub it while wet, it was removed.

When under running water, nothing happened. So I guess it still keeps its waterproof claim... well, more like water resistant... I don't think anyone would rub their eyes the way I rubbed my hand anyway.

I wear the eyeliner like this...

I love putting thick lines so that the glitters are visible. I like wearing it for everyday. The brown color is less dramatic as when I wear a black one and the glitters give a fun and light vibe to my overall look. I really like it. I do wish I could get my hands on the other shades. :)

What do you think of the Shu Uemura Metal:Ink Liquid Eye Liner in ME Brown?

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte Lipstick in M CR 342

Hey loves!

I bought my first Shu Uemura lipstick! It's saddening that the brand is leaving the Philippines so I'm glad that I was able to get one before their counters closed.

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte Lipstick in M CR 342

I bought it for PhP 1,000.00.

I bought this shade because I love this color. It's more like pinkish peach since it is more on the peach side than pink. I also love wearing matte lippies more.

For information about this product, here are the labels on the box:

And more info from the website:

comfort matte you dare to wear everyday.
The new super-matte lipstick is the perfect combination of extreme matte and ultimate comfort with moisturizing ingredients to deliver the smoothest matte finish with all-day comfort.

The unique creamy texture is available in 15 wearable shades perfect for many occasions!

I love the packaging. It looks so clean and sleek! The silver tube looks so elegant, clean, and simple, but the clear plastic around the tube gives a modern twist. The slim fonts of the brand logo gives it a classy vibe.

Even the bullet looks so modern but classy.

This color is a perfect every day lipstick for me. It works well with my skin and it's pretty close to my favorite color.

Swatch on hand

I got the swatch in one swipe and it's really pigmented. It glides smoothly because of the creamy texture, yet the finish is matte.

On my lips

I love it! I love the color, I love the texture, I love pretty much everything about it! It does make dry lips obvious when your lips are chappy, but other than that, it's great! It's a matte lippie that doesn't make my lips dry, the pigmentation is great, the texture is creamy and smooth. It's just awesome!

It's one of my current go-to lipsticks!

So what do you think of the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte Lipstick in M CR 342?

New Makeup for My Birthday!

Hey dearies!

So I just celebrated my birthday last week and, of course, I bought some makeup and I also received some gifts from friends (well, most of them are more like pasalubong because two of them just got back from abroad).

And here they are...

Too Faced Natural Eyes Neutral Eye Shadow Collection

The palette was included in my best friend's pasalubong from L.A. when she visited last September. I actually requested for the palette and I was planning to pay for it when she gets here, but she said it's a gift. Huhuhu... my friend is so sweet no?

Last month, BeautyMNL had a promo with Shu Uemura. Just buy one item from them and you get an eyeliner worth PhP 1,500.00 for free.  You don't get to pick what type of eyeliner or what color you'll get, but I still think that the deal is really good. I was able to get the freebie but I dunno if you can still avail the promo since it will continue only until supplies last.

I bought this lipstick—Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte in MCR342.
It's PhP 1,000.00

And I got this freebie—Shu Uemura Metal Ink Liquid Eyeliner

I also got gifts from blogger friends!! Weeeee!

I met with Helen and Tellie last month. For some weird reason, we always have gifts for each other whenever we meet. Haha!

I gave them sketches that I made of them. Hihihi.

I got the Zen Zest Vanilla Cream Body Scrub from Helen and the Peripera Ink Velvet Lip Tint and Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint from Tellie.

And those are all the products I've acquired during my birth month. I'll post swatches and reviews of all of them soon. I hope you stay tuned for that! ;)

Cheers,

Liz's September Haul Post

Good day ladies,

It's been a while since I've gone out shopping and the first few things I buy are actually gifts for other people. Two of them I can't post yet since I haven't given them out yet. But anyway, here are things I've bought over the past month.

Bought Dawn's gift from The Body Shop, their Vitamin C face mist.

The Shu Uemura is actually a gift from a friend who went to Japan.

About 3 years ago, I bought myself a gold one from Sephora during my Canada trip. You can check that one out along with our mini review by clicking the link. I signed up for a Sephora card and this year's birthday freebie was this Nars lip pencil/lipstick.

Good thing one of aunts there, who always picks up my birthday freebies, had a friend who came back for vacation this year. I often see notifications from Sephora about my freebies and their current on sale items. It does frustrate me so much that there isn't any Sephora store in the Philippines and that they don't ship here.

I had been eyeing a lot of their Sephora favorites sets to give as gifts to friends since they're a lot cheaper than the gift sets locally available in Beauty Bar shops. But then again, there are a lot of other web based stores with a wide selection of make-up items that ship locally, like Zalora, they even have promotions and discounts which are surely budget friendly. You can click the link (store name) to visit their sites and browse.

And here, I finally bought something for myself. I've been attending Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes in the past month and my knees are getting scraped by the uniforms. To prevent further injuries, I bought these knee pads at Trinoma's Landmark store.

Not included in the pictures are the gifts I bought for my mom and my sister. I bought my sister a cookie scooper, which looks a lot like an ice cream scoop. As for my mom, I bought her something to keep our oven clean, so she doesn't have to clean it as often.

This is such a measly haul post, but one I am quite proud of since they come from my "salary". I hope in the future I may be able to post more hauls.

Cheers,
LIZ

Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler

Hello ladies,

Been really busy lately and haven't been posting much of any stuff lately... but here, after a long night of making powerpoints for weird diseases, I treat you (and myself) to one of my reward splurges during my whole Canada trip.

See, I've never truly bought myself my own eye lash curler. My first one and all the consecutive eye lash curlers that I have are hand-me-downs from my dearest friend, Dawn.

Therefore, I decided that I have to buy myself one and not just any lash curler, BUT, the best that my mother's money can buy me. SO therefore, I give to you, my Shu Uemura Gold Eye Lash Curler.

See how pretty she is on the package? It's even prettier once you take it out.

Here are the friendly guides written on the box.

I initially wanted to buy the Shiseido one, because of some misunderstandings with prices listed online, I thought they were selling it for 12 or 15 dollars I think... (basta really dirt cheap price in a well known store)

But then, even after I found out the real price, the stores always ran out of stock. Even the Shu Uemura always ran out of these. So when I finally found one in stock I immediately grabbed it. It was just coincidental that it was gold.

Anyway, Dawn already has one and hers has been with her for years, and they're still as sturdy as when she first got it. So I'm well assured of the durability of this product.

And more pictures of the product...

Well, FINALLY, I truly OWN one now.

What eye lash curlers do you use?

Cheers,
LIZ

Shu Uemura Make-Up Palette: Eyes & Cheeks

 Hello, Beautiful Readers! :)

Just another swatch post here!

My sis bought this palette a few weeks ago.
She wanted something that she could carry around that has everything she needs.
This palette is just right for her since it also has an eyeliner (her makeup isn't complete without eyeliner!). Plus, the shades of the shadows and blush are safe for everyday use. :)
