MYRA HOLISTIC SKIN CARE – BEAUTIFUL SKIN STARTS FROM WITHIN

Hey guys!

I received great news from Myra Philippines!

They have new brand ambassadors that embody that effortless glowing skin...

And they are no other than Ms. Judy Ann Santos and Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo.

I believe they are excellent choices because they just look great as they age! They just keep getting more beautiful as time pass by. They really know how to take good care of themselves and I'm sure many of us would love to know how they do it.
Some of the things we can do to achieve that glow from within were sent to me the other day by Myra which are as follows:

- Kor Water Bottle which is a popular hydration vessel used by stars like Oprah, David Bekham, Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow.
- Yummy Healthy at Home Recipe Book that gives instructions on how to create delicious, healthy dishes for our tummies.
- And of course, Myra 300E and 400E!

With all these plus a few more tips which I shall mention in a few, we can achieve a Myra Holistic Skin Care! Check out this press release to learn more about this campaign:
DISCOVER THE TRUTH BEHIND HOLISTIC SKIN CARE AS IT STARTS
TO GAIN POPULARITY IN THE SKIN CARE INDUSTRY!

HOLISTIC SKIN CARE – BEAUTIFUL SKIN STARTS FROM WITHIN

If you think your facial creams and lotions are doing enough to keep your skin look beautiful, think again. Recent studies now show that the real secret to healthy, young-looking and glowing skin has to start from within.

To get that effortless, “lit from within” glow, you have to complement your creams and lotions with a healthy lifestyle and way of life. Use this checklist as a guide to gauge whether you’re taking care of your skin from within—it’s truly the best way to keeping your skin healthy and beautiful:

✓ Sleep. Your entire body, including your skin, goes into repair mode while you snooze. Help your skin cells regenerate and your facial muscles relax by making sure you catch quality sleep. Still feel like you’re not getting enough rest when you wake up in the morning? One of the reasons could be that your alarm is rousing you in the middle of your deep-sleep stage. To make mornings less of a drag—or if you know you’re only catching a few hours of shuteye—try setting a wake-up time that’s a multiple of 90 minutes. This is the length of the average sleep cycle, so you’re sure to wake up to a beautiful morning.

✓ Exercise. Even though you know that a good work out is great for your heart, lungs, and mental outlook, chances are, you’re still not hitting the gym as much as you should. Here’s a little motivation that’ll inspire you to get moving: Regular exercise is also one of the keys to scoring healthy skin. By increasing blood flow, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keeps them vital. It also helps carry away waste products, including free radicals, from working cells. Think of it as a cleanse for your skin, but from the inside.

✓ Hydrate. Healthy skin is well-hydrated skin. If you want your complexion to glow, you need to make sure that you’re drinking enough H20 on a daily basis. Keep this Kor water bottle on your desk at work or in your car, and remember to sip often. Want to add a little flavor? Toss in a lemon wedge or a splash of fruit juice— it’s a great substitute for sugary sodas or iced teas.

✓ Eat Well. Did you know that the food you eat matters to your skin almost as much as it does to your waistline? This is because your skin uses vitamins and nutrients from food to repair and rebuild damaged skin cells. Make time to plan your meals daily with the help of this Yummy Light Meals recipe book, so you don’t end up going for unhealthy options or fast food.

Take Vitamin E. This is where the heart of Holistic Skin Care is. As you go about your usual work day, you get exposed to bad and uncontrollable free radicals that damage your cells. The result: tired-looking skin that looks dull, dry, and aging. Help your skin bounce back and recoup easily by adding a daily dose of Vitamin E to your diet. Since this vitamin isn’t produced by the body, taking a powerful Vitamin E supplement like Myra, can help. It’s rich in anti-oxidants to help boost your skin from within and also stops skin-damaging, free radicals from stealing life from your cells. The best part is, it also repairs damaged cells and works hard to protect the healthy ones. And with more healthy cells in your body, you’ll be able to have beautiful, glowing and younger-looking skin throughout the years to come.

When thinking of beautiful skin, always remember this formula:
your creams and lotions + a healthy lifestyle + healthy cells = healthy, youthful-looking, and glowing skin. Make sure that you take care of your skin from within with Myra Holistic Skin Care. Go ahead—take a Myra Capsule now!

Review : Myra VitaGlow BB Cream

Hey guys!

Today I'll be sharing my review about this super affordable BB Cream from Myra VitaGlow.

I got a package a month ago containing this personalized makeup brush set:

See! It has my name on it!

It looks so awesome and the brushes are surprisingly good! To be honest, I thought that they would be rough at first glance but it's actually soft when I touched them.

But the star of the package are actually these two:

The new Myra VitaGlow BB Creams in Ivory and Beige.

Here's a copy of the press release for more info about the product:

GET INSTANT GLOWING SKIN WITH MYRA VITAGLOW BB CREAM

This radiance-boosting tube is packed with multi-benefits for your skin that allow you to combine the prettifying power of skincare and makeup:

  • It’s moisturizing. This lightweight cream hydrates your skin to keep it soft and supple.
  • It contains Vitamin E. This helps nourish your skin even more, so your complexion appears younger-looking and healthy.
  • It doubles as foundation. The tinted formula comes in two shades: Ivory and Beige, to help you even out your skintone perfectly and hide pigmentations.
  • It contains skin-enhancing minerals. Staying late at the office? Use this unique BB cream to add a natural, glowing finish to your skin! You’ll love how the subtle, light-reflecting shimmers in this cream will make you look like you’ve got a lit-from-within glow.
  • You can use it as concealer. Just pat an extra layer of Myra VitaGlow BB Cream to camouflage dark spots and blemishes.
  • It’s also has sunscreen. The SPF15 in this easy to bring tube will protect you from harmful UV rays that causes premature aging.
  • It’s hypoallergenic. Girls with sensitive skin don’t need to worry about breakouts, because this dermatologist-tested cream is proven safe for daily use.
  • It's the most affordable! There's no need to hesitate when it comes to purchasing this product, since you can score instant glowing skin for only P99 a tube. Such a great beauty steal!

Any beauty expert knows that the real trick to any successful beauty regimen is to find a product that works for you and your lifestyle. Myra VitaGlow BB Cream takes the guesswork out of your skin and makeup routine by packing everything you need in one handy tube. While all BB creams moisturize, Myra VitaGlow BB cream contains light-reflecting minerals that make your skin more luminous instantly. It’s easy to apply, too! Just use your fingers and the light and non-greasy formula blends easily over your skin.

"Myra VitaGlow is now my go-to BB cream," says Ana Victorino, local YouTube sensation and beauty video blogger. "I love the instant, glowing effect it gives my skin. With this in my beauty arsenal, I can create my 'no makeup' look in less than five minutes, too."

The NEW Myra VitaGlow BB Cream is available at leading drugstores and supermarkets nationwide.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

-        Shake well before use. Apply a small amount on face and neck blending evenly for a natural finish. For best results, use daily as your facial moisturizer. Can also be used as a make-up base.

You can find other important info on the tube such as the ingredients list and manufacturing and expiration dates.

So let's go on to my review!

Here are the swatches of both shades of BB Creams.

Left is Ivory while on the right is Beige.

The Ivory shade is light and has yellow undertones. I think it would really suit the chinitas out there. The Beige one is closer to my color. It also has warm undertones so it would set nicely on pinay skin.

Let's see how it works on my skin...

Bare face

with the product

It gives a light coverage but it's buildable. It instantly brightens your face and leaves a dewy finish making your skin looking healthy. Application and blending is very easy because of its creamy texture. And oh, it smells so good too!

Here's how I look after I've applied the rest of my makeup.
(yeah... my lipstick is too pale... lol)

Lasting power is pretty decent, I guess a good 3-4 hours before I need to retouch. It doesn't have oil control so blotting every two hours is needed for me. It also helps if you top it off with powder for longer oil control and lasting power.

So to sum my experience with this product:

What I LIKE:

- Affordable for only Php 99.00!
- Warm undertones (good for Pinay skin)
- Moisturizes
- Has SPF 15 and Vitamin E
- Dewy finish
- Buildable coverage
- Available locally
- Easy to apply and blend
- Smells good
- No breakouts or irritations
- Hypoallergenic

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Only available in two shades
- Even though the coverage is buildable, it can't cover my dark acne scars

This is actually a good product and it's only Php 99.00! I do recommend this to... well, everyone! It's so easy to use and it's something you can use daily! It has everything you would need whether you're going to work or school or just dropping by the grocery store.

Have you tried Myra VitaGlow BB Cream yet? What are your thoughts on this new product?

A Saturday of Eating and Shopping

My tita's friend and her daughter and her daughter's friend (phew!) came to the Philippines from Australia a few days ago. My sister stayed in their place when she was enrolling to one of the universities in Australia so now that they're here, we went out and treat them at Mall of Asia.

We got there around 4 in the afternoon. We decided to grab cakes and coffee at our favorite dessert place, Chocolat. I super love their cheesecakes and milkshakes. Also a favorite from there is their Death by Tablea.

We went shopping for a while. They were buying a lot! Around 6-8 pairs of shoes, bags of clothes and so on! While I, on the other hand, bought art materials for an oil painting I've been planning to do. :P My sis and I also went to Watsons to buy some toiletries and makeup (will be posting the stuff we bought later on this post).
For dinner, we went to Gumbo.
When we have no idea where to eat or if we aren't in the mood to experiment on trying a new restaurant, we always go for Gumbo. We really like the food there, especially their Baked Artichoke Formaggio and Strawberry and Chocolate Cheesecake! :P

A shot of our orders. That's quite a lot for us. We weren't able to finish it so we got it wrapped. Every dish was very DELISH!

Oh, and we also played with the crazy hats there! Haha! :)

So here's our little haul from Watsons.

My sister, Trace, bought the following (she's going to Australia and staying there for a loooooong while so she has to stock up on makeup since most of the makeup she uses are priced higher there):

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
(She was jealous of mine so she bought one for herself)

2 Nichido Black Liquid Liners
Nichido Spot Concealer in Natural

A Bonne Salt Scrub and Myra Vita White Whitening Face Lotion

Wet 'n Wild i-Shimmer

Fanny Serrano Two-Way Cake in Chino
(The other one is mine)

And I wanted to buy a cute blush but I didn't find anything of my liking today. So I just bought these:
3 Eyeliners from Wet 'n Wild:
MegaChrome Eyeliner Pencil Crayon Ligneur in 150
Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencil in 130 Pixie
ColorIcon Eyeliner in 661C Amethyst

Celeteque Toner and Cyleina Soaps

And my purchase from a seller in Girltalk already arrived! Yaaaay!
MAC DSquared2 Sculpt and Shape Powder in Bone Beige Emphasize
So excited to use this new baby of mine. ♥
And before I end this post, I saw this earlier!!!
This is where Marionnaud in Mall of Asia used to be situated. Why is it gone?!?
Anyone knows if it's gone for good or is it just under renovation?
I wish it's just the latter.
