Introducing Althea Korea's A'Bloom Range + Review

Another exciting batch of goodies were just released by our favorite K-Beauty online shop, Althea Korea! I'm so thrilled to share my reviews of the products because all these are things that I use frequently when I do skincare and makeup.

I received this package a few weeks ago and it contained these cutely packaged goodies. One of the reasons why Korean beauty products are so popular is their cutesy designs and I know why they keep doing it—the joy and kilig of owning such a cute thing feels wonderful! I am always drawn to beautifully designed things so I keep on buying them. Just look at those masks! Each design has its own personality (check out that lemon with the smug face!). And don't you just want to squish those meringue-shaped makeup sponges!?

Althea Watercolor Cream Tint

Just a couple of months ago, I blogged about the first ever collection created by our one-stop Korean Beauty shop, Althea. You can check out my post about the entire collection and my initial thoughts and quick review for each one of them on THIS post.

Today, let me share with you a more detailed review of their Watercolor Cream Tints. To be honest, I was not a fan of tints much. I like liquid lipsticks but lip tints aren't really my thing because I like opaque colors and some tints make dry lips more obvious most of the time. The Althea Watercolor Cream Tints are a different case though!

March - April (2019) Haul - A Bit of Shopping in Thailand

Just two weeks ago, I was in Thailand for the first time. We went to Bangkok and Chiang Mai to visit some of their temples and other popular tourist destinations. I even celebrated Songkran for the first time! Wooot! Of course, I had to check out places like Chatuchak and Or Tor Kor Market and I couldn't help but buy some items to bring back home. So in the first part of this post, let me show you the stuff I bought during my trip in Thailand..

First are these Snake Brand Prickly Heat Cooling Powders. The first thing I noticed when I stepped on Thailand is he heat! I was in Bangkok and it's hotter than Manila! I never liked hot temperatures so I try to avoid going outside for a long time, specially during the summer and since I'll be doing some tourist-y things, I need something to help me feel fresh, even for just a small amount of time... you know, like a bit of refresher... Anyway, when I saw the powders, I was intrigued because I haven't tried anything like that before. It was affordable too so I bought some and added some more to give to some friends. 

It smells good, but it doesn't really give that instant cooling effect. It's more for prevention of heat rash but I did read about it being a good foot powder though I haven't tried that one yet. Anyway, I feel like I'll be using this a lot still since it is still the middle of summer in the Philippines.

I'm so proud to say that I successfully stopped myself from buying anything for the past month. I did some major shopping during December and January because of all the Christmas and end of season sales. I just couldn't help myself because I love getting good deals. Since the brand started creating exclusive products, most of them were in skincare which is very understandable. Korean beauty is known for it's flawless skin and the ten-step Korean skincare routine. Almost every month, Althea has been introducing various skincare products for us to try. As a one-stop online shop for all thing K-beauty, it's just natural that they'll work on skincare products to achieve the flawless "Koreana skin" that we oh so envy! 

What I've liked so far from the different product exclusives they've released is the part where the products usually serve multiple purposes. There are cleansers that are also masks, toners that can also be a primer, and so on. So far, I have only but positive reviews for the ones I've tried and what's awesome is that Althea hasn't stopped from creating these innovative goods!

This one is actually overdue, but to be fair, I usually take a longer time to write skincare reviews since it takes a while to see any difference on the skin compared to just wearing makeup.

Christmas is just around the corner and you know what that means—Christmas Shopping Spree!!!

I'm actually guilty of shopping a bit early and mostly online because the Manila traffic is even more horrible during the Christmas season and I don't want to be stuck in traffic for hours. I'm just so thankful that many online stores are available for us to browse and buy what we like. And speaking with online stores, one of my most frequently visited one is Althea! I do love my Korean beauty products and I've been browsing their website first even before I became an Althea Angel.
