Hey dears!

What I smell influences my mood pretty easily. I get pissed off when I smell cigarette smoke or piles of trash, and I feel really good whenever I smell something floral and fresh. I like spraying room fragrances or lighting up some essential oils for a good night sleep and I make sure that I spray cologne or perfume when I go out. Smelling good just lifts my mood!

I think I have shared before that I'm not into fruity scents. I like florals, vanillas, and musky scents... and look at what The Body Shop has here...

This bottle was actually a gift. It's one of the more recently released scents of the brand.

Organic Alcohol

Our Community Fair Trade organic alcohol is handmade from sugar cane by the 200 farmers of the Consorcio Agro-artesanal Dulce Organico (CADO), in Cotopaxi, Ecuador. The organic sugar cane here produces a pure high quality alcohol that is perfect for our fragrances, and our trade supports CADO in its aim to give its members “a chance to fight poverty without losing their traditional way of life or destroying the environment”.

Alcohol Denat. (Solvent), Aqua/Water/Eau (Solvent), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone (Fragrance Ingredient), t-Butyl Alcohol (Denaturant), Coumarin (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Salicylate (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Hexyl Cinnamal (Fragrance Ingredient), Hydroxycitronellal (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Benzoate (Fragrance Ingredient), Denatonium Benzoate (Denaturant).

I like that this bottle is 50ml and is easy to carry when traveling. The glass bottle is pretty thick too but can be a bit heavy for its size. 

Remember the three scents I like? Well, let's just say that this fragrance are all three—it's floral, musky, and infused with vanilla. The vanilla part is not very obvious but there's this sweetness to this scent that is present. At first, you get the sweet fragrance then it becomes musky and I can really smell the hint of sandalwood that reminds me of the  sandalwood fragrance oil that my mom bought when she went to Israel (or was it Jordan?).

I still consider the scent pretty light and I like wearing this during day time. This is eau de toilette so I didn't really expect a whole day lasting power. I had to re-spray again after 4-6 hours and every spray is always a treat for me.

What I like about this fragrance is that its something that is not very common so it really made an impression on me. It easily became another favorite scent from The Body Shop along with their Moringa, Vanilla, Fijian Water Lotus, and Brazil Nut. I'm sure to get a new bottle when I ran out of this.

Unboxing: Regatta (April 2014) Saladbox

Hello dearies!

Just received my Saladbox for the month of April yesterday!

As I held the package, I noticed that it was heavy and I thought, there'll be a bottle of something inside... probably a lotion or fragrance. So as I unwrapped the courier's plastic, I saw this...

Woot! It's a specialty box again and for this month, they teamed up with Regatta!

I've always liked seeing Regatta stores. Though the clothing style isn't really my thing (I like very feminine, princessy clothes), I love their interiors—the sailing at the sea feel. It's like it's always summer there! 

I was really curious about what's inside... would there be clothes? Accessories? I even closed my eyes so I'd be "extra" surprised. Haha!

Wow! A full-sized fragrance! And it smells good too. I think I'll be using this for the summer!

It's a sample size and uhhh... I don't have a Saladbox Man! *cries* Kidding! I'll be giving this to my brother... probably add it to his birthday gift (it's his birth month).

These balms have sunscreen! Perfect for the intense sun this summer! Can't wait to try these out.

Sunblock Spray SPF70 UVA/UVB—Php 245.00

High SPF! Wonderful! And the bottle is very handy too so it's a keeper in my travel bag and probably even in my everyday bag!

I think I got everything in full-size except for the fragrance for men. I'm happy with this month's Saladbox and I'm getting really impressed with them since I got two great boxes for the past two months. Great job, Saladbox! Hope you keep this going!

Luxury Fragrance Haul!! ♥

 Hey guys!

My sense of smell is so pampered with all of these new items we bought...

A few days ago, I got this invitation from Emily...

So yesterday I went to a One Day Sale where I can buy Luxury Fragrances with 50% up to 70% off! I was with my bro (he wanted to buy some for himself because he just ran out and he is actually the fragrance junkee among the sibs) and my mom (cuz she has the money! Hooraah!).

Took us a while to get to the place. The location was pretty easy to find (we don't go to Pasig much), the hard part was the heavy traffic. It was the last Friday of the month (Yayy!! Payday!!) and we went around 4pm. So it took us about an hour or more to arrive. :P

Anyway, Emily was there and she even introduced me to Sydney. We talked about the Nippon makeup tools and how their products were used in different workshops. She also showed me some of their items such as their makeup removers which I am very interested to try out!

Back to the fragrances part, the whole studio was filled with perfumes from luxury brands!

I saw some that I am already familiar with and some that I've been wanting to try out! The people there were so nice to guide us throughout our shopping. They were so patient in telling us the prices over and over since we kept asking because we couldn't decide which to take. Haha!

I was shocked with how much each bottle is worth! They are even cheaper than those in Ebay! Haha! We took advantage of these and brought home 8 items!

All these amounted to Php14,100.00 only.

United Colors of Benetton's Newest Fragrances

 Good day, readers!

Benetton fragrances aren't new to my drawer. You see, I have this uncle who just loves the brand and gives us different scents every Christmas or on our birthdays. And I've always loved receiving them.
That's why I was quite excited that I was invited to their fragrance launch last Friday which I just blogged about yesterday.

As mentioned in yesterday's post, here are more detailed information about the newest fragrances from United Colors of Benetton.

I do admit I'm not very particular about scents. I only base it if it's citrus-y, floral-ish and the like. I just smell the perfume, and it will either be something I like or I don't like. But these new fragrances from Benetton smell really good!
Let's start with my two favorites!
Once I sprayed these babies, I fell in-love with them!

2012 BENETTON

HOT GOLD &COLD SILVER

 capture the allure of precious metals…

A reinterpretation of the Hot&Cold fragrances in a more contemporary and sophisticated way, inspired by the gold and silver precious metals.

Of all metals, gold and silver are surely the most iconic. Throughout the ages, throughout the world, these precious elements have been symbols of wealth and objects of desire, traded as coinage and treasured as jewelry. But never yet has their universal allure been expressed in fragrance. Until now. Introducing Hot Gold and Cold Silver, new scents for women and men by United Colors of Benetton.

The scents were actually created in 1997 and has been their best-selling line of fragrances ever since. :)

Cold Silver for men

Sleek and sophisticated, silver is associated with design, technology and ultra-modernity. In the heart, aromatic silver sage is spiced with a pinch of cardamom seeds.  When I got my bro to smell this perfume, he wanted to buy it. He actually ordered one already! Haha!

I actually love it too. I go to his room everyday and spray it on me. He doesn't know anyway... unless he reads my blog. Haha! ♥ 

 

Hot Gold for women

Its Latin name aurum – meaning shining dawn – gives a hint of the multiple evocations of gold. Gold is light and love, hope and happiness. Hot Gold for women captures these associations in a light and elegant fruity floral fragrance which opens with a bright bergamot note, rounded out by touches of golden apple and yellow peach. The delicate heart blends star fruit and radiant rose with soft hints of mimosa, developing into a sensual dry-down of sandalwood, solar musks and golden amber.

This on the other hand is my favorite! One spray and I was sold to getting one. I need the cash first though. Haha! I'm not as an impulsive buyer as my brother. :P

I just love the bottles of Hot Gold and Cold Silver. They are so unique, especially the cap! ♥
These two have a more elegant feel to them. They are probably more suited for evening or formal events compared to the next two fragrances.

2012 BENETTON

COLORI EXTENSIONS

BENETTON NERO & BENETTON BIANCO

First, there was red, yellow, green and blue. Rosso and Giallo for women, Verde and Blu for men: four fragrances inspired by the colorful world of Benetton. Now, Benetton takes its vision of unity in diversity one step further, invoking the ultimate attraction of opposites with two new scents in the Benetton fragrance collection. Introducing black and white: Nero for men, Bianco for women.

Black and white, a unique chemistry

Black and white? Or white and black? They may be opposites, but these two colors are clearly destined to be complementary. Black is the absence of color, white a blend of every color in the spectrum, and together they have a unique and timeless chemistry. Next, on the boxes – white with black graphics for Bianco, black with white graphics for Nero – where each color is accompanied by a list of its sensations and associations: moon, snow, feather, cotton, purity for Bianco; ink, night, eclipse, magic, gothic for Nero.

BENETTON BIANCO.

Woman: sparkling and feminine

Just as white blends all the colors in the spectrum into pure perfection, so Benetton Bianco Woman fuses fruity and floral fragrance essences into a seductively sparkling composition. In the top note, luscious lychee pulp is complemented by bamboo sap and white mulberry, evolving into a feminine heart of white rose, grape flower and dewy jasmine. The dry-down is soft and sweet, infused with notes of cocooning cotton musk, vanilla and white patchouli.

I like how Bianco smells. It makes me feel pure and fresh. Something I'd wear in casual days. :)

 

BENETTON NERO.

Man: vibrant and virile

Cool and clean, fresh and forthright, Benetton Nero Man is a citrus woody scent that debuts with sparkling notes of blood tangerine, peppermint and grapefruit zest. The coolness lingers through a spicy heart of mace, juniper berries and lemon tree wood, lending depth to the fragrance, then evolves towards a darkly vibrant dry-down of Indonesian patchouli, ebony wood and black musks.

I got a freebie of this one from the event. I gave it to my brother since it's for men and he really likes it. He brings it with him when he goes out.
 

All these fragrances are available in all leading department stores, Fresh Fragrance Bar Stores Nationwide this June 2012!
