Glamourbox has teamed up with Eye of Horus to help our fellow Kababayans. It has been a year since the super typhoon Yolanda struck the country and until now, we're still recovering from it. The people who became victims of this typhoon still need as much help as possible and I'm happy to share with all of you that one of our favorite subscription boxes has teamed up with Eye of Horus and It-Ain't-Nothing (an Australian non-profit org) to support 50 Filipino Families and build 50 homes. Glamourbox Gives Back
It’s been a year since Typhoon Yolanda devastated the country. And while there are those who have managed to shake off the dust, pick up the pieces, and move on, there are still a number of people out there who are in dire need of our help.
Australia-based non-profit organization It Ain’t Nothing recognizes this, and has made it their mission to build 50 homes in typhoon-hit Malapascua Island, where many are still living in makeshift shelters as a means of getting by. Hence, It Ain’t Nothing’s goal is to raise $50,000 in continuing efforts to provide permanent homes for 50 families, with one house valued at $1,000 each. The good news is that as of October this year, 28 homes have already been built. But they are still halfway from hitting their target, and now, you can get your chance to help out and get involved.
Glamourbox believes that beauty is as beauty does, so it has partnered with one of its exclusive beauty brands, Eye of Horus Australia, to raise funds for this worthy endeavor. On November 7 - 8, 2014, both Glamourbox (www.glamourbox.ph) and Eye of Horus Australia (www.eyeofhorus.com.au) will be selling special Eye of Horus gift packs on their respective websites simultaneously, with proceeds going towards building homes in support of It Ain’t Nothing’s cause.
The gift packs are available for P2,000 each of which will contain Eye of Horus’ line of coveted beauty products: Goddess Mascara, Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil, Liquid Define Liner, and Sharpener, plus a free gift. These products are valued at over P3,000. And the best part about it is that you know your purchase is going towards putting a roof over a deserving family’s head—making you look and feel good, while you’re at it.
To boost fundraising efforts, Amy Lennane of Eye of Horus Australia will personally be flying in to the Philippines on the first week of November, she will be talking more about the great work that It Ain’t Nothing is doing as well as creating awareness for the cause. Together, Glamourbox and Eye of Horus are aiming to raise at least $4,000, all of which will go towards building four homes for those in need.
