L.A. Colors Diamond Shine Lipgloss in Golden Peach

Hi dears!

Since it's the summer season already here in the Philippines, I try to make my makeup a little lighter and more on the warm and bronzy shades. And since my lippie collections are mostly bold reds and pinks, I decided to buy a gloss that would look natural on the lips. I am not much of a fan of lipgloss so I just bought one that's very affordable...

L.A. Colors Diamond Shine Lipgloss
Bought this at Robinsons Magnolia Department Store for Php 150.00.

The shade is Golden Peach.

So I bought this because I love PEACH (my blog name's a giveaway)! I love glosses that are in that color because it's warm, feminine and very wearable. I think it's the color of my second lippie ever and it's also a lipgloss.

Here's a closeup of the applicator.
It's good but not the best. I have to do multiple dips so that I get the desired gloss for my lips.

Swatch on my hand
I like the shimmers. They are very fine and they feel smooth on the lips. I also like that the colors of the shimmers are mixtures of gold and silver.

Swatch on lips

I would have loved this lipgloss if it weren't for it's sheerness. It like I only added gloss and glitters. I was expecting a little more peach color from it. So I guess I'll just use it on top of a lipstick because I don't like wearing something this sheer on my lips.

Do you like wearing glosses over lippies? What's your favorite brand (mines Fusion Beauty's LipFusion)?

Review : L.A. Colors Smudge Proof Liquid Eyeliner

Hello guys!

So I was looking for a really black liquid eyeliner some months ago for a K-Pop inspired makeup look I wanted to do on myself. The makeup look didn't went well. I guess K-Pop makeup doesn't suit my face... or I'm just not satisfied with how it turned out... But anyway, it goes the same with this particular eyeliner. This turned out to be a disappointed.

L.A. Colors Smudge Proof Liquid Eyeliner
This is somewhere around Php 200.00.

Below are the labels on the eyeliner's packaging:

And additional info from their website:

LONG LASTING
WATER RESISTANT
FINE BRUSH APPLICATOR

Water resistant Liquid Eyeliner is specially formulated for long lasting wear. Ultra fine brush applicator ensures precision lining.

The applicator is indeed very fine. Though I like that it can create very thin lines, its bristles became like this:

This annoyed me too much that I never used it again.

The only good thing about this is that it is very black. Check the swatch below:

It takes a while to dry when applied so you need to wait for 10 seconds before opening your eyes.

Is it long-lasting? Yes, if you do not have oily lids like me. It smudges on me when my lids get extremely oily. Is it water-resistant? I believe so. It takes a while to get smudged when I expose it to water but with a few wiping, there are some parts that get smudged off. Remember, it's water-resistant, not waterproof.

What I LIKE:

- Very black
- Water-resistant
- Affordable
- Locally available
- Brush is fine and easy to manipulate

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Not long lasting especially on my oily lids
- Applicator's bristles go all over the place
- Packaging looks tacky

Even though this eyeliner has good qualities, the bad ones are too major for me to reconsider using this product again. I find this a big disappointed and I don't think I'll ever think of buying this again. :(

So what do you think of this product? Do you like other products from this brand?

FOTD : Steel Raspberry

Hello loves!

Here's my FOTD last Saturday when I went out to buy some stuff for my upcoming birthday celebration... I'm trying to make it extra special because it will be my first time spending my own hard-earned money for my birthday.

More on that later... I still have more than two weeks left to prepare. Getting so excited here!

Anyway, this is what I looked like:

I used two of my newest makeup which were gifts from The Body Shop.
I got the name of this FOTD from the two products' names.

These are the eyeshadows I used:
The Body Shop Colour Crush in Steel My Heart
Sephora Eyeshadow in Starry Sky

Here's how I blended them together.

And below's the finished look with the eyeliners and mascara:
Used Majolca Majorca Lash King, Coffret D'Or Gel Liner and Wet 'N Wild ColorIcon Eyeliner in White. For my brows, I used KATE Brow Mascara. :)

And the other new product is the lipstick which I blogged about yesterday...

And if you've noticed, my skin is quite "poreless," don't you agree?

I used one of my favorite primers, Coffret D'or Magicalflat Concealer. I'll do a review on that soon.

Used a MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation in NC25 and L.A. Colors Loose Powder in Light on my skin. My blush is T'estimo Blush in PK-18 but it's quite faint. And I also used Guerlain Terracotta Moisturizing Bronzing Powder in no. 10 for contouring.

So more selfie pictures below:

Most of the products used in this look have been reviewed in previous posts. Feel free browse around the blog for them. :)

So, how do you like the look?

FOTD: Plums all Around

Hello guys,

It's been a while since the last I posted anything. Since I recently left my testosterone-filled Surgery rotation, I wanted to go back to my girly-girl habits and what better way to break into them again than to do a long overdued FOTD!

This FOTD was done as per request of one of our readers. This made use of the plum-colored freebies I got from Clinique bonus.

Materials used:
Clinique colour surge eye shadow duo in twilight mauve/brandied plum
Clinique blushing blush powder blush in smoldering plum
Clinique different lipstick in 76 Shy
Clinique long last glosswear SPF 15 in 18 Mystic
Holika Holika BB Pore Cover
LA Color Loose Powder in Light
Kanebo Coffret D'Or Full Keep Gel Liner
Guerlain Terracotta Moisturizing Bronzing Powder Long Lasting in No. 01
Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder (optional)
Too Cool For School 1 Day Tattoo Eyebrow

I just remembered that I haven't really finished the review and swatch posts for the Clinique products here, I'll be sure to add that to my list of things to do. And I'll be posting the review on the Too Cool For School 1 Day Tattoo Eyebrow sometime this week or this weekend.

So, on to the make-up... here's a picture of me pre-makeover.

Here's what we did for the eyes

And for the lips, we basically just put bought the lipstick and the gloss.

When put together, here's the finished look.

It's a pretty simple look, great for casual events or for those days when you just need to get out. For me, it's the perfect "I'm girly again" make-up look. Ha... I miss makeovers...

Anyway, it's still a little cold, gloomy, and rainy outside. Hope this somewhat helps you pass the time and hope all of you are safe. Let's pray for the people that are gravely affected by the storm and do our part in helping their rescue and rehabilitation. :)

Stay safe guys.

Cheers,
LIZ
