Hello loves!
I've always liked wearing bold, matte lippies. I have dozens of different shades now and I just noticed that I barely wear browns. When it comes to neutral tones, I always go to those leaning to peachy or pinkish nudes, but I rarely try colors that are in the brown range. The closest would be in the darker shades which is burgundy.
So when I attended the Project Vanity 10th Anniversary event, I had mixed feelings when I first saw this...
Pink Sugar Project Vanity These Lips Don't Lie Lip Crayon in "Sorry Not Sorry"
I've seen the collaboration between local brand Pink Sugar and Project Vanity before and I was curious to try them out. I didn't have the privilege yet until this opportunity when I was able to take home one.
"Sorry Not Sorry" was the shade I got and it was described as a "peach cinnamon" shade. It's an accurate description but I can also describe it as a rich, warm caramel color.
The shade is something I would not normally try. I always thought that these shades will strip off the colors from my face. I just don't think it's flattering on my skin, hence the initial mixed feelings.
But before I proceed with my review, let's check the product description:

How to Use:
1. Twist to dispense lipstick and apply evenly to lips.
Caution: Use only as directed. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight. Cease use if problems arise.
It's PhP 399. each. It comes in seven shades and weighs 3.2g.
The product is housed in a twist-up crayon-like packaging. It's easy to use because the size is just right to keep your hands steady when applying. The design is simple but the bright pink color makes it stand out from my makeup stash.
The product is barely scented and the consistency is smooth when applied.
The color payoff is rich and gives a finish of semi-matte. There's a slight shine which is something I actually like. But if you prefer a more matte look, just dab your lips with tissue.
On my lips it looks like a rich caramel color. It gives a bold look that doesn't look drying because of the sheen.
And surprisingly, it works well on my skin tone!
I never thought that it will look this good until I tried it. Wow! I'm actually liking trying out browns now (I still stay away from gray-browns though, maybe I still have to find the right shade).
The staying power is pretty impressive. It lasts around 5 hours or even more depending on what I eat/drink. I usually wear a matte lipbalm underneath so I don't get chappy lips when I wear this product.
I'm happy and even impressed that the shade "Sorry Not Sorry" looks this good on me when at first I was worried if it will flatter me. I find the formula of the product comfortable to wear so overall, I'm a fan! Woooot!
So what do you think of the Pink Sugar Project Vanity These Lips Don't Lie Lip Crayon in "Sorry Not Sorry" ? Do you also wear brown shades like this?
Cheers,
DAWN
