J.Cat Pout-holic Lipstick in PHL 108 Shaking My Head

Hello loves!

Feeling a bit more creative this summer? Why not go for a golden glow with gold lips??? I probably wouldn't wear it on an ordinary day, but I might if I go to a party. :P

I bought a gold lipstick when I stumbled in a J.Cat store. I haven't tried any of their products yet and I was curious about it because of the ads I saw in Facebook. So while browsing, instead of going for the usual colors I pick, I went for golds and blacks. I was quite impressed with the range of colors that the brand offers!

I can't remember how much this is exactly. I think this is between PhP 200-300. I'll update the post once I've verified it. :)

When I saw the gold color, I just took one without hesitation. I just thought that I could use this in some of the crazy makeup experiments that I'm planning.

Anyway, here's the product info from the labels around the tube:

Info from the website:

It's available in 18 shades!

The packaging is very simple. It's made of light plastic material. I do like the font selection but the red color isn't working for me. :(

Here's the tube. The gold, metallic shade is just beautiful!

The lipstick is pigmented. Awesome! I could imagine many looks I could do with this!

I like that it has a sort of shiny, metallic finish but the texture is not glossy or too creamy. It reminds me of the textures of usual matte lipsticks.

I might not wear the pure gold lips at work but I can mix it with other lippies. The two photos above are matte red lipsticks with the J.Cat Pout-holic Lipstick in PHL 108 Shaking My Head applied on top.

And that's all for this post! I'll try to post some makeover I do using this gold lippie!

NOTD : Gold and Turquoise

Hi gorgeous!

Just sharing my NOTD!

It started as an all-gold nail polish but it was just too boring for me so I added this beautiful Turquoise color.

And I just think they compliment each other very well. The colors remind me of a pharaoh's crown. Don't you think so too?

This are the polishes I used for this NOTD.

Girl Stuff Nail Polish in Turquoise

And that's all I guess. I don't have much to say because I'm just too tired right now. I'm sorry. :( But I do hope you like this very simple NOTD. :)

Sephora Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear in Green and Gold

Hey loves!

My best friend, Rica, who is currently residing in the US got us some new beauty toys to play with!

She gave Liz and I some skin care products from The Body Shop and these super pigmented Jumbo Liners from Sephora. She gave Liz and I two each and I'll be sharing the two shades I got in this post.

Sephora Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear in Green and Gold

I think the other two shades that Liz got are in Turquoise and Violet. I'll try to ask her to post swatches of those liners too. :)

These are the info from their website

What it is:
A collection of jumbo eye pencils that can be used as eyeliners or blended out as eye shadows.

What it does:
These jumbo pencils create a range of effects, from bold lines and blended effects to thin, defined lines. Resistant to water, heat, and humidity, their creamy, high-pigment formulas apply smoothly. From deep blacks to rich and shimmery shades, each is formulated with exclusive waxes and pigments to assure maximum color intensity that stays put for 12-hours.

Suggested Usage:
-Draw a line from the inner corner to the outer corner of upper and lower lid.
-For a more dramatic effect: apply all over the eyelid.
-Pencil may be blended with fingers or a brush to spread color all over the eyelid.
-Layer two jumbo pencils to create your own custom look.
-Use 05 beige jumbo pencil as a base for your eyeshadow that lasts all day long.
-Use 01 white on the inner corner of the eye to make eyes pop.

Rica got these for us because when she tried it, she loved how pigmented and how long lasting they were and she wanted us to try them out too! How she raved about them made me so excited to get my hands on them!

So this is the Gold jumbo liner...

The shade is a shimmery, metallic, warm gold.

And this is the green liner...

It's less shimmery compared to the gold one.

These are the swatches.
They are very pigmented because I got these vibrant colors in just a stroke of the pencils!

And now, I'll share the post on how I tested the staying power of the products. First, I tried rubbing it with my fingers several times...

Nothing happened. I guess there are a little to almost unnoticeable "sparkles" of the gold smudged.

Here I rubbed it very hard with wet cloth and as you can see, it got smudged, especially the gold one. The green shade still looked clean but less color intensity. If you put it under running water, nothing happens but if you smudge it or rub it, then you will encounter this, something not so surprising when it comes to eye liners. I was expecting a stronger lasting power from it though but without forcing it to come off (like rubbing your eyes), it can last the whole day. I do have oily lids though so it tends to blend with my eyeshadow after half a day of wearing it. But it stays the whole day looking untouched when I applied it under my lower lash line. It just looks beautiful throughout the day and the intense pigments really makes your eyes so eye-catching!

And that's all for this post. I think there are dozens and dozens of shades available for these Waterproof Jumbo Liners 12HR Wear. I'd like to get some mauve and peach colors!

Have you tried these eyeliners from Sephora yet? What shades do you have/wanna get?

Nature Republic Extreme Sparkling Eyeliner

Hello dears!

A month ago, Nature Republic had an awesome promo of buying 2 products for the price of one. One of the products I bought with that promo is...

Nature Republic Extreme Sparkling Eyeliner
Regular price is Php 350.00.

The shade I bought is Gold. It's available in two other shades—white and silver.

I like the design of the packaging. It's really cute and fun. I love the color too. It looks peach so I thought that it was peach and not gold. :P

This is the applicator. The tip is fine and thin that makes application very easy to control.

Though it looks peachy as mentioned before, it's a soft gold color. See the swatch below:

On my hand

It's shimmery and metallic. It dries easily so no need to wait for minutes to finally open your eyes. :)

And here's how I usually use it:

I apply it on top of my black eyeliner. I sometimes use it under the waterline. It brightens the eyes and makes them stand out.

Do you use use these kinds of eyeliners? What shades do you use and from which brand?

Amuse Long Eye Pencil in Gold

Hi beauties!

Sharing with you my quick thoughts and some swatches of this product I received from my January The Salad Box.

Amuse Long Eye Pencil in Gold
This is Php 150.00 each when you order at Salad Box. Not sure if this is available elsewhere.

The shade I got is Gold.

This is one of the few products I have from the brand (I also have a lip liner).

Here are some info from Salad box's website about this particular product:

The SaladBox Take
With colors ranging from neutrals like brown and black to fun shades like gold and ocean blue, this eyeliner is definitely a must-have. Contrary to existing reviews, Amuse eye liners are soft, pigmented, and very easy to apply.

Other info is labeled on the pencil itself

How to Use
Keeping your hands as steady as possible, draw a thin line on your lash line. Keep your liner tidy with the sharpener.

Here's a closeup of the pencil.

Swatch on paper

Swatch on arm

Applied on the bottom of my eyes

This is quite soft and glides smoothly on skin that's why it's easy to use. Pigmentation is good as well! Lasting power isn't that impressive especially if you get oily easily.

What's good about it is that it is long so it will last you a while and get your money's worth.

So that's all for my review on Amuse Long Eye Pencil in Gold!
Have you tried any Amuse products yet? Which one?

Cheers!

Wet 'N Wild MegaChrome Eyeliner Pencil in 150

Hello dears!

How's your Monday so far?

Been a busy, busy day for me. Work drained all the energy I had from the recent long weekend. Now I'm just looking forward for the soon long weekend ahead.
I was also looking forward for the new phone I will be getting from Globe Rewards. I wish it will be ready for pickup tomorrow. ♥

Anyway, I was fixing my makeup case last Saturday and saw some of my not so used eye liners and among them is...

Wet 'N Wild MegaChrome Eyeliner Pencil in 150

I don't know why I barely use this. It's actually good! Now I'm thinking of an EOTD/FOTD wherein I can use this.

The product isn't really creamy so it doesn't smudge fast but it is still easy to apply. It glides on to skin easily.

It's also quite long lasting when I apply it under my eyes but on my lids, it's just so-so since mine is very oily. :P

Here's a swatch on my hand.

It is quite pigmented! I love the metallic gold finish! ♥
It's a really good eye liner and an affordable one for only P299.00.

So any suggestion for a theme using this liner? Been thinking of a Cleopatra or something futuristic... Will appreciate any suggestions! Comment them below! :)

Cheers!
