Review : Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream

Hello loves!

It's the start of a new week! And this week is a little special because my birthday is in it. I really hope that it would be much better than last week because I was feeling tired and sleepy at work everyday last week. And yesterday, I had a headache that lasted the whole day. Good thing that I felt a whole lot better this morning. :)

Oh! There is a threat of a low pressure area entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility. I'm hoping that it will not develop into a typhoon and it won't mess any of my plans for my birthday. Haha! :P That ends my health and weather report. LOL

Anyway, I hope you are all doing well today! :)

For now, I'll post a review of this CC Cream my sister gave me. I think some of you might be interested to try this because I really think it's good and even Liz liked it a lot when she tried it.

The shade I have is No. 33 Beige Rosé.
I'm not sure how much my sister bought this but this is £9.99 (PhP 722.69) if you buy it at Boots online.

And now, on to the review! :3

This is what the CC Cream looks like. The consistency is creamy but feels very light on skin.

But this product's creaminess is not thick... I can't really describe it better than it's not thick but not runny. Anyway, it's pretty easy to spread on skin.

I think the light beige shade would look better on me because the Rose Beige is a bit darker than my skin but I can fix that easily with a lighter shade of powder. And I like that the shade is warm so it suits my skin tone.

Here's my bare face.

This is my face with one layer of the product applied. I apply this using a wet beauty blender.

And with a lighter shade of powder and the rest of my makeup.

The coverage of this CC Cream is medium and it can be build up if you need better coverage. It took care of covering the light pimple scars and redness around my nose area. I can easily say that this product can deliver when it comes to their promise to cover dark spots and redness. Although would I rather use concealer for my very dark pimple scars than to pile up too much of the product.

The finish is semi-matte. I say this because it simply looks matte but not flat! It looks very natural on my skin.

Lasting power is pretty decent (about 8 hours on me when I use it alone) but it can last the whole day with the right primer and loose powder. It also helps in oil control—It takes around 4-5 hours before my face gets oily (I have very oily skin). If you have dry skin, better to fully moisturize your face. If you have prepped your skin well, then you won't experience caking with this on. So yeah, the "hydration" it provides is not enough for every skin type. Those with dry skin need more for sure.

As you can see, I don't have negative thoughts on the CC cream itself...  the tube though could be made better because with just a slight squeeze and you might get too much of the product out. And design-wise, it's not so appealing. :P

What I LIKE:
- Medium Coverage, it's buildable too
- Easy to spread
- Lightweight
- Lasts long
- Controls oil
- Natural finish
- Affordable
- Light Beige and Rose Beige shades are warm
- Mildly scented

What I am NEUTRAL ABOUT
- It has SPF15, it's nice that it has SPF but I think that's too low, I still apply sunscreen underneath.
- I think the hydration it provides is not enough for those with dry skin

What I DON'T LIKE:
- Not locally available
- Packaging could have been done better

Would I repurchase?
I don't think I will as much as I liked this product. I think I've used better ones and I'm willing to try more. When it comes to foundations, CCs and BBs, I only repurchase when they are considered HG material.

And that's my review! Hope this was helpful!

Have a great week ahead, everyone! :)

Bourjois Blushes in Sienne, Chataigne Doree, Lune D'Or, and Rose D'Or

Hello dears!

Just sharing a swatch post of these beautiful blushes of my sister, Tracy. She actually gave me 2 of the blushes so half of it is mine now. Yay!

These blushes are from Bourjois. Haven't used much products from the brand so it was a delight to use these for the first time. The pigmentation of the blushes is very much to my liking since it's not too bold but it's still noticeable. I prefer that because I usually go for a bold lip color or colorful eyeshadows.

So the four blushes are the following:

Bourjois Blushes in Sienne, Chataigne Doree, Lune D'Or, and Rose D'Or

I like the packaging. The compact's color matches the color of the blush. It's easy to carry around since its diameter is a little smaller than two inches. It is also equipped with a mirror and a small brush applicator.

The brush is not really good. I guess it's too small for me and I prefer my brushes softer.

At the back of each compact contains info about the blush like the shade's name, shelf life, etc.

I'm not sure if how much my sister bought the blushes. :(

Here are the swatches:
From left to right: Chataigne Doree, Sienne, Lune D'Or, and Rose D'Or

And below are solo pictures per blush and their swatches:
Chantaigne Doree

Sienne

Lune D'Or

Rose D'Or

The shimmers of these blushes are so fine that it creates a beautiful glowy look when applied to the cheeks. My favorites are Rose D'Or and Sienne but Chataigne Doree is not far behind.

So have you tried any blushes from Bourjois? Which is your favorite?

Bourjois Blush Sculpting Duo Effect in Warm Pink

Hey everyone!

How's your vacation so far?
Liz is currently preparing for their Easter celebration while I, on the other hand, am just chilling in my room creating this blog post and probably do some drawings afterwards.

For tonight, I'll be sharing with you a simple swatch post of a blush duo that my sister brought for me to try from AU...

Bourjois Blush Sculpting Duo Effect in Warm Pink

This is quite a different blush compared to the usual shades my sister used to buy. She is way tanner now so her choice of makeup shades shifted drastically.

The packaging is nice. It's not bulky and it looks really neat with the mirror and the transparent window where you can instantly see the shade inside when the compact is closed.

It comes with a brush applicator though the brush isn't really so soft.

This warm pink really compliments her very warm, tanned skin. I wish I had a pic of her wearing this but unfortunately, she's back in AU now. :P

Here's a swatch post on my arm

These shades are basically a semi-matte base and a highlighter. They go hand-in-hand to create a very bright and glowing finish to your cheeks.

Here I am wearing the blush.

I just use a subtle amount since it is quite dark on me. But this blush isn't very pigmented so you will have to swirl your brush a few more times to get any color from it. The powder of the blush is smooth too, not chalky either.

So have you tried any of the shades of Bourjois Blush Sculpting Duo Effect?
What do you think of it?

Cheers!

Bourjois Lipstick in Rose Pomponne

Hey guys!

I'm currently preparing my luggage for a vacation trip to Cebu tomorrow morning with my sister. Sooo excited for this trip since it will be my first time there and also at Bohol which we will also visit during the 7 day trip. :)

So for now, I shall leave you a quick swatch post with a lippie that my sis gave me from Australia.

Bourjois Lipstick in Rose Pomponne

This is my first lipstick from the brand.

Packaging is girly and classy at the same time. Love it!

Here's a swatch on my hand.

My bare lips

Lippie applied

It's a cute pink shade that can be worn in any part of the day. It smells nice too and never cause my lips to chap. Would definitely want to try more Bourjois lipsticks!

Any shades you can recommend? :)

Review : Bourjois Imperfection Concealer in Beige Rose

 Hi Ladies!

It will be a very busy week for the sisters since we are preparing a very big surprise for our lovely readers.

We have mentioned in some of our past posts and in our Facebook page about a surprise we are currently preparing... can you guess what it's for?

Anyway, just a quick review for today.
Bought this from Mega Brands Bazaar 2012, particularly Victoria's Secret Haven Store.

Bourjois Imperfection Concealer in Beige Rose

Been using this for the past month now.

I like the leopard print on the packaging. ♥
It's actually what attracted me to buy it! :P

Label at the bottom of the product

And on top is a tiny mirror... mine's full of scratches now though. :P

And here's the product when opened!
I actually like that it is in tube form because it is easier to apply.

Here's a swatch on my hand.
The product is very creamy and easy to blend.
Shade is quite yellow-toned as well which is very suitable for my yellowish skin. :P

So here are pictures to test the product's coverage:

My bare lower cheek with an annoying pimple scar

Put some of the concealer on top of it
It is quite lighter than my skin tone.

 After blending.

It blended well on my skin but it didn't entirely cover the scar.
Though it is buildable so I can just apply more layers. But lasting power isn't impressive, especially on my oily skin.

LIKES:

Packaging is cute
Yellow toned which suits my skin
Creamy and easy to blend
Affordable
Has a little mirror on top of the cap
Easy to carry around

DISLIKES:

Not enough coverage
Not long lasting
Not available locally
The labels get scratched off easily

Will I buy again?
Nope. I have problems with a lot of acne marks so I really need good-coveraged concealers and this one is not one of them. This can be handy for the under eyes though and easy to carry around in your vanity kit.

That's all for this quick review! ♥

Have you tried this product yet?
Any concealers you can suggest that is affordable and a must-try?

Cheers!

Haul from the 3rd Mega Brands Sale

 Hey everyone!

Last Sunday, my bro and I went to the 3rd Mega Brand Sale at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
We were kind of excited to go since we saw some of our favorite brands participating in the event. It was the last day of the event so we thought that most of the good stuff must have been bought already but on a positive note, some of the stalls might make the discounts bigger on the items so that they can be sold since it is the last day.

Img Src: http://www.spot.ph/event/49646/3rd-megabrands-sale
See those brands? Especially the makeup ones?
Really made me excited when I entered the place.

I first saw the stall where they sell the Guerlain products. Some were as low as Php800 and I am talking about items that have Php1,700+ as their original prices. I didn't buy any though since I didn't see any from the items on sale that were interesting for me and I might find some other item that I'd rather spend my money on... :P

We did see more interesting items but although most items were discounted, they were still a bit expensive for my brother and I.

Good thing is that most of the sellers accept credit cards.

But at the end of the day, we weren't able to buy much. My bro only bought 3 pairs of socks! Haha! I bought a couple of things... Here they are:

 A really big, tan handbag.
I like big bags since I bring my drawing pads, materials, DSLR and such. :P
Got this for Php800

 Also one white cardigan.
Hard to find one for my size and I always wanted one.

and finally, shopping isn't complete without makeup!

Bourjois Paris Imperfection Concealer in Beige Rose
Max Factor Pressed Powder in Light
Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in Gentle Rose

I bought these from Victoria's Secret Haven Store. They have a Facebook Page you can check out.

Want any reviews or swatch posts on these products? Just comment them below!

Anyway, that's all I bought from the sale.
Did you go to the 3rd Mega Brand Sale? What items did you get? :)

Cheers!
