L'Oreal x Balmain Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Rebellion

You know the feeling of getting an awesome freebie when you shop? I just love getting that because I feel like I'm getting a really good deal with my money.

One of the freebies I got that I really like is this...

L'Oreal x Balmain Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Rebellion

I was shopping with my friend Tellie of Beauty by Tellie. We bought a couple of lipstick, I also got an eyeshadow stick, and she bought a foundation, all from L'Oreal. We were informed that we are eligible for a freebie and it's among the lipstick under the collaboration of the brand with Fashion mega brand, Balmain.

I've been seeing posts regarding this collaboration and I can't deny how beautiful this packaging is! I love the strikingly bold color mixed with the elegant, metallic gold lining and logos.

Among the colors that were available as freebies, I chose Rebellion, a matte blue shade, to take home. I got this because it's the shade that I don't have and which I think would still look good on me.

One lipstick costs PhP 499.00.

The shade is a deep cobalt blue color. It compliments my warm skin tone which I think is the reason why I'm more drawn to this than the other shade I was offered which was in the gray shade.

The shades that were available as freebie were not the usual shades that you can see people wearing in public... but for some reason, I wouldn't mind wearing this. Haha!

Here's a swatch on the back of my hand

It's pigmented but it's not as solid as when you apply liquid lipsticks. I think this is the boldest blue lipstick I've tried so far (I've tried three others). It is buildable though.

What I do notice is that it's in the dry side so application can be more difficult. I have to layer it and go back and forth to achieve an even application.

So basically, I'm in love with the packaging and I like the color, but the consistency is a downer for me. Anyway, it's still a good addition to my lipstick collection!
