Wet n Wild ColorIcon Blush in Pearlescent Pink

Hello loves!

Been raining heavily in Manila this weekend. I hope you're all safe and dry at home. I stayed home and relaxed since I've been busy the past two weeks exploring Sydney.

Anyway, since I've written so little in the blog for the past month, here's a short swatch post of a blush that I think a lot of you might like...

Wet n Wild ColorIcon Blush in Pearlescent Pink

I was able to take this home when I attended Project Vanity's 10th Anniversary event last March. It's one of the many products included in the Project Vanity kit that the attendees were able to receive in the event.

It's available in the Wet n Wild counters and selected online shops in the Philippines for PhP 299.00.

At first, when I saw that there was a blush included in the kit, I had mixed feelings. I recently bought blushes but at the same time, I rarely get blushes during events. You know the thrill that you're not sure what you'll get and it turns out that you got something you don't get often but really want to? That's that. So yeah, I'm happy that I got a new blush but I worry that I have too much. Haha!

But I was relieved that the shade I got was something that is very wearable and something I know that will compliment my skin well. But before I show you the swatches, let's see the product description from the website first...

You’re blushing! This silky-smooth powder strikes the perfect balance between a blendable transparent sheen and a radiant pop of maximum color. Lightweight, long-lasting, and certain to impress.

CLAIMS:
Buildable, blendable powder

Long-lasting color

The product is housed in a slim compact that has a very simple design. It's mirrorless but the transparent cover will let you see the shade. It doesn't take too much space in your makeup container either.

It comes with a brush applicator, but I find it too small so I don't use it.

The shade is a warm pink, almost a peach actually... well, it's PEACHY PINK! There I said it! Haha! It has small silver shimmers too.

Here's the arm swatch.

Here's what it looks on my cheeks.

Aaaand I was right! It looks good on my skin. Yay! It remind me of Nars Orgasm (though Orgasm has a gold shine to it). It's a very safe and wearable shade so I tend to reach for it for my everyday makeup when I prepare to go to the office. What's great about it is it's so affordable and the color payoff is good and it really is buildable. However, it can be chalky. So tap off your blush brush first before you apply.

Since I have oily skin, I make sure that I have a good foundation and set it with powder so that my makeup doesn't melt off. If I have a good base, this blush can stay along with the rest of my face makeup the whole day. But yeah, the longevity depends on my base makeup and how oily I got.

And that's my thoughts on the Wet n Wild ColorIcon Blush in Pearlescent Pink. Do you have a favorite blush from this brand?

Cheers,
DAWN
