How was your Christmas celebration?

Mine was a quiet Christmas eve with my family and we went out shopping the day after and had dinner. It was simple but it's still special because I spent it with loved ones.

One of the exciting things that every family would do during Christmas mornings is opening gifts under the Christmas tree. I used to wait impatiently 'til Christmas day before I open my gifts... but lately I just open them when I receive them. Ha! I'm just too excited I guess... So just imagine how much I wanted to open this box that arrived in our doorstep 2 days before Christmas day...

I super love this polish since I'm a fan of this color and I love sparkling polishes! It's a mixture of my loves!!! :)

MAC Hello Kitty Sweet Strawberry Lipglass

Hi loves!

I rarely buy lipglosses nowadays since I prefer lipsticks over them but I just had to get this when I saw it on sale at Hollie's Blog Sale.

Beside it being a lot more affordable since it is already pre-loved, it looks soooo cute! I'm not a collector of Kitty products but I still like them! 

The shade is pretty cute too. Something wearable that you can use in many looks. I love the bluish glitters too. 

And it's very pigmented! Lasting power isn't much since it is a lipgloss but I don't think that a long lasting quality should be expected in most lipglosses. Better to just stick with a lipstick if that is the case. :P

I so love the color and the effect of this product!

The gloss doesn't feel greasy and you can smell a slight vanilla-ish smell.

This is a limited edition makeup from a long time ago.

The Body Shop Leona Lewis Limited Edition Collection

Hi Loves!

Last June 28, I went to a makeup workshop by The Body Shop at SM North. They are featuring the Limited Edition Leona Lewis makeup collection.

We get to use the new products ourselves along with the other makeups from TBS.

The place was packed with LYB members!

Each of us had makeup tools set up for us to use during the workshop.

I came late so I didn't have a place to sit in the long table. I had a solo spot next to my good friend, Helen.

Of course we had to take a pic together. Haha! :P

Here's Jayne, one of TBS' marketing team, giving some prizes to 4 people who did great in doing their makeup during the workshop.

I didn't get to win. Booo. I didn't stood a chance anyway. Haha! I was late and I had some of The Body Shop girls to do my makeup (I was a cheater LOL). I even did something different with my eyeshadow. I went with the makeup done on Leona Lewis in one of TBS' promotional poster. Haha!

Our Community Fair Trade marula oil comes from the Eudafano Women’s Co-operative in northern Namibia. The women hand-select the marula fruits, then the nuts are extracted and dried in the sun. The kernels are cold-pressed to release the oil. The 1,750 women involved in the project report that the benefits to them go beyond money. It also helps to give them a sense of independence, business management and confidence.

These are surprisingly pigmented for a lipgloss from the brand. These are bolder compared to any lipglosses from The Body Shop.

These palette can be used as a blush, contour powder, highlight and even as eyeshadows! Nice right? What I like about it the most is its design! The deer detail is lovely!

I don't have descriptions for these two but I have swatched the pencil and tried the mascara myself during the press launch that happened weeks ago.

I don't have much to say about it since I've only tried it once. The mascara didn't smudge on me when I used it that one night. I only had it on for 3-4 hours though.

The White Libertine Musk is also included in the collection!

Our Community Fair Trade organic alcohol comes from sugarcane that's organically grown in central Ecuador. We source it from CADO, a co-operative of over 200 smallholder family farmers. Ripe sugarcane is cut by hand, then ground to extract the juice, which is left to ferment for 24 hours and then heated to distil the alcohol. Our trade helps to provide over 500 people with a reliable source of income.
