By Terry Cellularose Blush Glace in Flower Sorbet

Hey dolls!

I hope you had an awesome halloween celebration. I was mostly doing some grown-up stuff like renewing my driver's license and other errands (#adulting). Everything went smoothly and I had plenty of rest so I thought I should post something on the blog next. :)

What I'll be sharing with you today is a swatch post about a makeup that was given to me by my sister...

Stila Color Push-up All Over Color in Blush Flash

Hey loves!

I have mentioned that I am not a fan of cream nor gel blushes but I guess my sister is quite fond of them... or maybe not... because she has sent me yet another one and this time, it's from Stila...

Stila Color Push-up All Over Color

I don't own much Stila products... in fact, I think I have only tried around a handful of their products so I was excited to try it out when I received it.

The shade I got is Blush Flash.

The packaging is a twist-up type (like a deo!) plastic material. It's see-through so you can see the shade of the product.

The shape makes it easy to apply since it can cover large areas, but if you like it thinner, you can just apply with the edge because the width is thinner.

The color seems like a dark cranberry red shade, but when you apply it, it's actually very sheer. You'll get this color...

It's sort of a very warm dark rose pink color that's very sheer and with a dewy finish.

The consistency is quite thick and it feels sort of sticky and waxy which is a big no-no for me so I got turned off at first swatch to be honest. :/

It does look good when I wear it. Check out the photos below:

Left: no blush yet
Right: with the blush

Since it is an "All Over" color, I also try using this as a lippie. The sticky, waxy feel is more tolerable as a lippie  but it can dry your lips badly. YIKES!

So even if it looks good and creates that simple, natural and dewy finish, I don't recommend this at all because it feels so bad on skin, like you're wearing thick wax! And it dries your lips that will lead to chapping! Just no. :(

I guess that's all I can say with this product. I tried looking for info on this particular one but it's not on the website anymore. I think I read in other reviews that this has been discontinued already... I would not be surprised if this is true. :P

Cheers,

Pixi Duo Cheek Cream in No.2 Natural Peach

Hey guys!

I'll just be sharing a quick swatch post on this cream blush duo...

Pixi Duo Cheek Cream in No.2 Natural Peach

My sister gave this to me a month ago, I think.

I'm not a fan of cream blushes because of my oily skin. I feel like they're heavy and just makes my skin oilier. They don't last long on my face either. They fade once my face gets shiny.

This one is no better. This performs pretty much the same as most, if not all the cream blushes I've used. Oh well. It's still a gift that I appreciate though. I like the color peach anyway. :P

It comes with an applicator... which is pretty ummm small. I guess you just use this to dab the cream on the cheeks then use the fingers to blend. I'd rather use a bigger brush for blending though.

These are the two shades. One is peach while the other is a warm brown shade.

Both have a creamy, buttery texture so they are easy to blend. They don't have shimmers and the finish is pretty natural. The brown one is great for contour while the peach I use as my blush.

Here's how this product appears on my cheek:

Only foundation applied

With the brown shade (used as contour)

With the peach shade (blush)

(yes, my brows are very dark)

The peach is a little darker than I like but I still love the color. Peach is a favorite of mine! :D I would wear this color but I think I would prefer it if the blush is powder. Still not a fan of cream types! :P

I think you can use this as a lip color too but I haven't tried it yet. :P

That's all I can say about this product. Any thoughts?

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Duo Palette in Celebrity and Diva

Hey dearies!

Do you love cream blushes? Looking for a great bronzer and blush duo, which also happens to be a great lip product too? Then let me introduce to you this lovely product from Ellana Mineral Cosmetics...

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Duo Palette in Celebrity and Diva
This palette is worth Php 460.00.

It's housed in this beautiful compact with an illustration by Soleil Ignacio. This has a mirror and I like that it isn't bulky so it's easy to fit it in your vanity bag. And in case you are wondering, it doesn't come in an applicator.

Labels at the bottom of the packaging

I bought this because I've read some great reviews on this product and my sister, Trace, mentioned that she wants the Diva shade. She's still in Australia though but I'm planning on visiting her this year so I'll let her try this one first then I'll buy her a new one if she'll like it. :)

The cool, bold pink shade is Celebrity while the warm, metallic bronze is Diva.

The swatches

They are so vibrant and pigmented! I got those intense colors in just one swatch! They have a buttery smooth texture that is so easy to spread whether on the lips or on the cheeks. It feels light on skin too. I don't feel like I added any sticky creams on my cheeks which I encountered in some cream blushes I've tried before.

Celebrity on my lips

Diva on my lips

They look gorgeous as lip products. Celebrity would be great for an everyday wear. Pair it with a thick eye liner and you will look pretty and chic! Diva, on the other hand, would definitely help achieve that Bronze Goddess look!

And here's how it looks like on my cheek.

Left picture: Without any product
Right picture: Applied Diva as bronzer

I used Diva as contour to add definition to my face. It is sort of close to my color so it's not too visible and I don't really want to over-bronze myself, especially since the weather now is a bit cold. Anyway, you can still achieve a bronzier look because the shades are buildable and blending is uber easy too!

Applied Celebrity on the cheek

Celebrity gave my cheek a bright, rosy glow! You can also control the intensity of the shade very easily. You can use either your fingers of a stippling brush for these products. I find using the fingers easier though.

I love the finish of both shades. They give a dewy look which looks so natural on my face. My concern though is my oily face and that it doesn't last very long on me (Celebrity lasts longer compared to Diva but I think it is because the color is bolder). What I do is I tap a translucent powder on my cheeks with a Kabuki brush. Don't worry about caking because I haven't encountered any of that when I use them with powder on top. The powder will surely help with the lasting power of the product but it can take away the dewy finish. But it is a price I am willing to pay so that I can retain the rosy glow for a longer time. :)

And those are my thoughts on the Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Duo Palette in Celebrity and Diva. Let me know your thoughts on the palette!

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Illusion Lip and Cheek Cream Color

Hello dears!

One of my favorite colors is peach (I think my blog's name makes it very obvious. Haha!). That's why I was so happy when I saw that one of the loots I got when I attended an Ellana event a couple of months ago was a product that is pure peachy goodness!

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Illusion Lip and Cheek Cream Color
This is priced Php 250.00.

Info from the website:

WHAT IT IS
Mini-pots of a sheer wash of long-lasting luminous color, creamy & easily blendable. To use as blush, dot on the apples of your cheeks and blend. To use as lip color, dot on the middle of the lips and blend towards the edges. Highly pigmented, a little goes a long way.

Net Weight:
3.5g

HOW TO USE
Apply with a brush, sponge or fingertips. Use sparingly.

INGREDIENT LIST
Capric/Caprylic Triglycerides
Cyclomethicone,
Euphorbia Cerifera Wax
Cera Alba Wax
Mica
Silk Mica
Boron Nitride
Titanium Dioxide
Phenoxyethanol
May contain: D&C 27, D&C 7, Iron Oxides

So the shade Illusion is actually Deep Peach. To be honest, I don't prefer cream blushes because I have oily skin. They tend to not last long on me. But I can't resist such a beautiful shade! Just check out the closeup photo of the product:

Pretty, isn't it?
It looks super feminine, sweet, and warm. I've always loved that about the color peach. I always associate it with a princess for some reason ever since I was a kid.

A swatch on my hand

On my lips

I'm definitely loving the matte finish of this product. It's very wearable and it will surely brighten your face. Don't believe me? Then check out my FOTD photos below:

It looks good on my lips and it also acts as a subtle peach blush on my cheeks. It's always great to own a product that does more than one function. It saves money and it's great for travel!

I usually put this on top of my foundation because I usually apply foundies with lots of coverage. What I like about this is that it doesn't wipe the foundation off nor does it mix with it. It sits nicely on the cheeks provided that you apply it gently with light fingers/sponge/brush.

Staying power is just so-so for being a lip product and a cheek product but for everything else (pigmentation, packaging, price, and texture), it's awesome!

And that is all I have to say about this very pretty product from Ellana Mineral Cosmetics. For more info about this and other products from Ellana, check out their:

Too Cool For School Art Class Blusher in No. 2 Peach

Hey loves!

I was supposed to make a very long review post on some products from one brand but I want to catch up with some TV series (haha!) so for now I'll share a quick post about this product from Too Cool For School...

Too Cool For School Art Class Blusher
A tube is worth Php 435.00.

I don't really buy cream blushers because of my oily skin but this is actually a gift from a former professor. She's gonna get married soon and she asked me to do an artwork for her and her soon-to-be husband. I made her one as a wedding gift but she still gave me a kikay gift which included this product.

The shade she gave me is No. 2 Peach. It also comes in another shade, No.1 Pink.

Since the labels on the packaging (which looks really good btw) is not in english, I went to one of their websites for product info:

I apply this using my fingers... I personally think the finish look better that way rather than when I use my makeup brushes. It just makes the blush look more natural.

Here's a swatch on my hand:

When mildly blended:

It's a very subtle, matte peach. The texture is very soft and application is very easy. The shade is very light so you might need to build up the color if you don't have fair skin. I had to put about a small pea size on each cheek so that the color is visible on my cheeks.

Here's me wearing the blush:

It really looks so natural on the cheeks! It also brightens the face!

It's subtle so you don't have to worry about looking like you got too much product on because even if you did, it wouldn't look like it! It would still look natural! Nice, eh?

Unfortunately, it doesn't last too long on my oily skin... probably a good 3-4 hours before it fades out... But I could always just reapply. :)

So what are your thoughts on Too Cool For School's Art Class Blusher? Do you wear cream blushes too?

Cheers,
