Collection Cosmetics Lasting Colour in Sweet Tart

Hello everyone!

So my Batanes travel blog post will be delayed because of some missing photos (sorry). So I'll just share with you a swatch post for the meantime.

Collection Cosmetics Lasting Colour
A tube of this lipstick is Php 199.00.

The shade I got is No. 8 Sweet Tart.

I got this lipstick in my Sample Room Inspire Goodie Bag last month.

So here are some product info from the website:

- Long lasting lipstick locks colour to lips all day.

- Enriched with SPF15.

- Soft, smooth formula.

- Available in 11 shades.

The packaging is very simple. I don't have much to say about it... I guess I like the metallic hot pink touch. :P

So here's the lipstick. It smells like a sweet pastry with a hint of cherry. Not really a fan of the scent.

The color is a very warm pink. It's actually close to being neon if you apply it boldly... well that's how I see it.

The lippie tends to sit on the lines of my lips and it really exposes any dry areas. Better to blot it first and if you want a bolder color, apply a small amount again.

But I think I'd rather wear it like this. I've blotted my a couple of times and achieved this color. It's more wearable and it suits my skin better.

Staying power is average. Probably a good 2-3 hours with little eating or drinking.

Overall, not much of a fan of this particular lipstick but I am willing to try out more products from Collection Cosmetics. I've only tried a few so I'm still curious to see how their other products perform.

Have you tried this lipstick? What about other Collection Cosmetics products?

Review : Baviphat Magic Girls Plus BB Cream #1

Hello loves!

Since it's the summer season here in the Philippines, my face is extra oily and I sweat more than usual. Because of these, my makeup tends to melt, especially if I forget to blot off excess sebum.

That's why I try to use makeup that are made for oily skin like me. So today, I'll share with you one product that I bought some months ago that does that.

Baviphat Magic Girls Plus BB Cream #1
I forgot how much this is when I bought it but I guess it's around Php 800.00-1k in stores? But that's just a rough estimate. I really can't remember. :P

Can't read the details though. But still posting the labels just in case you can read it. :P
This BB has two variants, #1 is for oily skin while the other, #2, is for dry skin.

Loving the packaging art! The illustration gives the vintage feel to the product.

It claims that it has SPF30 and PA++. The SPF is quite good. These properties are great for the summer!

Here's a swatch on my arm.

It smells nice but it's barely noticeable. It's like sweet and herby and baby powder fused together.

on paper

Consistency is a little thick but just a little. It's very easy to spread and blend and it also feels light on skin.

Spread on my arm

It gives a slight dewy/ semi-matte finish and gives a light but buildable coverage.

with the Baviphat Magic Girls Plus BB Cream #1

What I love about this BB Cream is that it's shade is warm enough to match my skin perfectly unlike most BB Creams which are lighter or pinker or sometimes even greyer.

Performance is great! It can last the whole day if you blot off the excess sebum which I only do twice for the whole day at work (around 10 hours of wearing makeup). It helps if you set it with powder to make it last longer and also to make it matte which I prefer when I do my makeup. Been using this everyday when I go to work (along with a lot of concealer because this doesn't help much in covering my scars and pimples) and I do not experience any breakouts or other irritations.

What I LIKE:

- Matches my yellow-toned skin!
- Controls oil
- Lasts long
- SPF 30 and PA++
- Locally available (there's a stall in Cinderella, Glorietta)
- Consistency
- Easy to spread and blend
- Light on skin
- Packaging
- No breakouts or irritations

What I am NEUTRAL about:

- Price
- Semi-matte finish

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Coverage is minimal

Would I purchase again? I probably will. It really makes my face look decent for a long period of time during this awfully hot weather. I recommend this to those who have oily skin who loves using BB Creams that doesn't mind light coverage.

So what do you think of Baviphat Magic Girls Plus BB Cream #1? Have you tried this BB Cream yet? What about other products from Baviphat?

Peripera My Color Lips in No. 9 Pink Plum

Hello dears!

I just love all things pretty! So as I was at the mall browsing the beauty section, there were these tubes of lipsticks that caught my eye at the Peripera stall.

They were pink with silver floral design reliefs on the caps. The main tube is metallic pink with the cute embossed logo at the bottom.

I wasn't planning on buying any lipstick that day, but I just have to have one! It looks like a lipstick for a princess—and I have that princess-complex when I was a kid. Haha!

So I did buy one but I chose a shade that I don't have yet in my stash.

Anyway, here are pictures of the box (which is also cute btw—it has a leathery texture and is colored metallic pink!):

So the shade I bought is Pink Plum. The lipsticks are available in 28 shades.

This tube is Php 695.00 but I got this at 20% off.

And it has a mild rosy scent... it's barely noticeable unless you actually place it close to your nose to smell it.

on my lips

It's purple—a very beautiful, pigmented purple! Suits the year 2014 because the color of the year is Radiant Orchid, which closely resembles the lippie's shade. It has a slightly glossy finish and unlike many of the lipsticks I tried from Korean brands, this doesn't pile up inside the lines of my lips. It also doesn't make the dry areas of the lips more obvious. I'm really liking how it looks on my lips. Texture is very silky that it glides easily on the lips.

The staying power of the lipstick is decent. It can probably last a good 3-4 hours with only little eating or drinking before retouching is needed. It doesn't dry the lips much which is a big plus for me.

I'm definitely loving this impulse purchase. The shade is very feminine, the look/packaging of the product is very beautiful, and the performance is good! I'll probably buy one again if I find a good shade the suits me that I don't have in my stash yet.

What are your thoughts on this Peripera lipstick shade, Pink Plum? Do you like the packaging too?

Kanebo KATE Colorcious Diamond Eye Shadow Palette in BK-1

Hello loves!

I love eyeshadows. I use them every time I go out of the house. But let's face it, eyeshadows are hard to finish, especially if you have more than a dozen palettes (like me). I do try to avoid buying them just so I don't regret it when they get too old and I still haven't hit the pan. I'm sort of frugal so I feel bad when things get wasted. :P

But when I saw this palette while I was browsing a Kanebo stall at SM Makati, I wanted to buy it.

The shades aren't unique but I just love how it looks, it's awesome pigmentation, and how silky they feel when I swatched them.

Anyway, here's some info from the website:

A 5-shade eye shadow palette featuring the shades and shine of colored diamonds to create beautiful, lustrous, and wide eyes as the shades are applied
It's available in 8 sets of shades.

I really like that it looks like beautiful, glittery rocks—like raw diamonds!

It's my first time to own a powder eyeshadow from KATE. I really liked the eyeliners that I've tried from the brand and I also read some great reviews about their BB's, foundations, and eyeshadows so that's why it was easy for me to buy this. Haha!

Anyway, it comes with a double-ended applicator. I guess the thinner one is for sharp lines and dark shadows like using them as eyeliners.

Here's a closeup of the palette.
It is composed of warm and cool tones that would look awesome for a smokey look.

Here are the swatches!

And below is an EOTD of how I usually wear it during daytime (yes, that's a daytime look for me... drama much?).

Staying power of the eyeshadow is pretty decent but it can stay all day with a good primer. The shadows feel silky but there are some chunky glitters on some shadows which I don't really mind. Blending is very easy and the shades go well together.

Overall, I'm liking the palette. It's not really unique because I've seen palettes from other brands with almost the same shades. But I do love how it looks and how it performs and at least I get to keep a palette from the brand. :P

What do you think of this? Do you own an eyeshadow from KATE too?
