Etude House Playhouse Princess Academy

Hello Gorgeous!

Last Sunday, I attended
Etude House Playhouse Princess Academy!

It's Etude House's annual event wherein they show their appreciation to their princess customers and give them a good time through games, food, makeovers, and all things pretty!

Yayyy for princess tiaras! :P

It's was actually a two day event, like last year's, but I was only able to attend the second day since my family went out of town for a quick getaway.

The event was hosted by Carla Humphries.

And the event was held in SM North EDSA The Block.
They prepared a big pink stage!
Actually, the whole event area was pink! It was sooo cute!

Ms. Andrea Amado, the president of Etude House, Philippines, graced the stage and gave an introduction about the event.

And for the programs,

there were some dance numbers from different K-Pop Dance Groups,

There was a talk about what's 'in' in the fashion scene from Ryuji Shiomitsu.

And makeup sessions with Bianca Valerio!
They got people from the audience as models for the makeovers. In the picture above is EH's Pink Artiste last year, Orange!

Also, A shout out to Shebby Liquete for being Etude House's New Pink Artiste!
Congratulations! :)

I wasn't able to take pictures of the announcement since I was in-line at the games area. :P

There were games as well where you can win Etude House Goodies!!

You just have to wait for a while to get to play. There was a very, very long line, especially in the Treasure Chest game. But it's so worth the wait! You'll see why later in this post!

You also get free food and refreshments from Tous Les Jours!!!

Pink Cookies, Macarons, Cotton Candies and Strawberry Colas! All pink and delicious! :)

And of course, I get to see my blogger friends!! :D

With Carizza, Marge, Helen, Gen-zel, and Kath!
I also met other fellow bloggers. Too bad I wasn't able to take pictures with them...

I had tons of fun! Especially since I've had a princess-complex since I was little. Haha!
I really felt like a little princess in the event. It was a lovely experience hanging out with friends, meeting new ones, playing fun games and taking home cool prizes!!

Here are the items I won in the games:

So many goodies!! Wow, right?
I actually didn't get the best ones. If you were a lucky fellow (unlike me), you probably were a super happy princess that night.

I also took home a blogger loot bag. Here are its contents:

If you find something interesting, comment them below if you want a review on it soon. :)

I was a happy, little princess that Sunday.
Thanks, Etude House, for making our princess dreams come true last weekend.

Looking forward to next year's event! :)

Cheers,

Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner

Hey guys!

I've been obsessing with skin care items lately. Like almost all the things I buy are skin care related! It has been a dream of mine to finally get rid of major imperfections I've been struggling with since I entered puberty. Hopefully, being more conscious of the products I use would help me reach that dream more quickly.

If you want to take care of your skin, it is important that you know this—cleanse, tone, and moisturize. That is the 3 basic steps in proper skin care. It is important to do these daily.

I've been using toners since I was in high school. It helps a lot in making sure your skin is clean before applying moisturizer and other skin care products. Since I use toners everyday, I decided to go with alcohol-free products as they are milder, which makes them less likely to cause damage on my skin.

Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner
is the one I'm currently using. My bottle is almost finished actually (I took these photos weeks ago, FYI).

Product Description from Sample Room's Website:

Moringa-O2 combines powerful multi-vitamins, antioxidants and minerals from Malunggay, Olive Oil and Omega to deeply nourish and moisturize dry and sensitive skin.
Moringa-O2 is best recommended for those with the following skin conditions:
  • For dry and sensitive skin
  • For itchy skin
  • Aging skin
  • Skin asthma and Keratosis Pilaris
KEY BENEFITS:
  • Gently cleanses residual dirt without drying
  • May help reduce pimples
  • Stimulates cell regeneration and skin renewal
  • Minimizes pores
  • Improves skin elasticity and suppleness
  • Skin lightening
Full size: 100 ml
Price: PHP 89.75

It stated that this toner is more suited to people with dry-normal skin. I still got it though even if I have oily skin. So I didn't expect that it would control my oiliness. It didn't unlike my other toner that I used before this which is really for oily skin. Though this isn't oil controlling, I like that my face doesn't feel dry when I use it. Even if it's alcohol-free, it feels refreshing once applied. I like that it has moringa and other herbs that gives our skin vitamins and other minerals. It is scented too but it's mild.

This toner didn't cause any irritations nor breakouts too. But I don't notice any difference with my pores and I barely see any difference with the lightness of my skin. :P

Have you tried this toner yet?
How about the brand's other items?

Essence Colour and Go Nail Polish in Hello Marshmallow!

Hey loves!

I received this nail polish from Essence Philippines when I won one of their Facebook Contests. I really like the color because it's cute and feminine.

The polish is called
Essence Colour and Go in Hello Marshmallow!

It's like a light periwinkle color. It's pastel which really resembles a purple marshmallow!

It may not seem so in the pictures but it has some very fine blue glitters. It looks amazing when you see it upclose.

That's the polish on top of my Squall mouse pad. :P

I like the consistency and the fast drying speed of the polish. I just don't like the brush... it's too big that it makes the application process messy.

And some info of the polish at the back

And the name of the shade

Using a black sharpee, I added some dots on some of my nails. I didn't have my silver one when I did my nails. I was planning to add more designs. But I guess this seems okay already. :P

So what do you think of the shade, Hello Marshmallow?

Review: Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes, & Lips

Good evening ladies,

My Bifesta just ran out on me so I started using the makeup remover that came with my Clinique Bonus. So here's a really brief review on the product.

Packaging:
I've always liked the fact that Clinique always packages their products so cleanly, almost like medical stuff-like. My biggest problem with the packaging of this one, is the opening where you dispense the product. It's too wide! For the clumsy users, like me, it's not very user friendly. I've literally wasted half of the product from spilling it or putting too much on the cotton, and soaking my hand completely. Seriously.

Formula:
This is a half water, half oil kind of product. It's not the type of product I like. I've since changed my preference to products that are not half this and half that so... depends on you if you're ok with that.

Performance:
In terms of removing eye makeup, mascara, and lipstick, it delivers. It just takes a little longer for it to melt water resistant mascaras but it does the job well enough. My biggest problem with it being a halfa, is that I can't leave it long on my eyes for it to melt the makeup since some part of it stings my eye and it's a pain to rinse off. But that's a general incidence with all halfa types of makeup remover whenever I use them.

I did try using it for my whole face and it still did the job but just not as effective since you need to wipe with it for at least 3 times.

Verdict:
Good product for removing makeup from eyes, lashes, and lips but is not good for all over the face.

I don't know how much it is here, but according to Sephora.com, the 4.2 oz is about 18 dollars worth, which is a little pricey for something so small. Then again if you'll be using it exclusively on your eyes, lashes, and lips, it might not be that bad.

Anyway, I still prefer water-based removers for those areas. How about you guys?

Cheers,
LIZ

Pretty in Pinkbox

Hello beauties!

Do you love accessorizing yourself since you were a kid? I do!
I've always wanted to look like a pretty princess since I was little but life was so different back then and the little extra bling was something my mom couldn't buy for me.

That's why nowadays, I just buy whatever accessory I see that is in my liking. I want to spoil myself with all things pretty that I can afford! One of the places I check out is Pinkbox because they have cute items at affordable prices!

So I was excited when I received an invite to one of their events. It took place yesterday at Zarzuela, East Wing of Shangri La Plaza.

The place was decorated with lots of pink and flowers!

Each chair has this set up on the table—refreshments, sweets and a basket of goodies!

My pink corsage matches my pink cupcake! Cute, huh?

I have actually been in Zarzuela. I've eaten there with my bro a couple of months ago so I had an idea on what kind of food would be served.

I liked the arrozcaldo and the gulaman drink looked awesome.

After eating, the bubbly host, Karrots Nazareno, started the main event.

We had an introduction from Pinkbox's owner, Ms. Nelly See.

Pinkbox started back in 2002. What started as a mother's love for her daughter to have fancy, cute accessories became a successful accessory brand with over 40 retail locations!

And we also heard more good news about Pinkbox and their products and services from their brand manager and beauty blogger, Liz.

I'll tell you more about it in a different post. :)

And finally, they unveiled Pinkbox's newest face:

I also got to hang with fellow bloggers! A lot of them were there! Too bad I wasn't able to take photos of most of them...

Genzel, Me and Tellie

with Bec
Finally I got to see you in person!! :D

Also took photos at the photobooth with Carizza!
I also took one with Tellie. She has the hardcopy though. :P

I'd like to thank Pinkbox for inviting me and for these lovely goodies!

The event is just part 1 of my post, I'll post the new products and services from Pinkbox tomorrow so stay tuned for it!
